Lucille Ball was an American actress born in 1911 in Jamestown, NY. She got her start in acting in school plays and got her first professional job in 1933. In 1940 she met her husband Desi Arnaz while filming Too Many Girls, and they married in 1940. In 1951 Ball and Arnaz had a son named Little Ricky and found fame with their television show I Love Lucy which aired from 1951-1957. Ball continued acting throughout her career and received many accolades for her work. She passed away in 1989 from lung cancer.
