Harry Houdini created a new diving suit in 1971 for underwater escapes. He also released his first film in 1901 showing many of his escapes. In 1912, Houdini came up with his newest escape called the Chinese Water Torture cell where he escaped a locked glass cabinet filled with water while suspended upside-down. He later died in 1926 when his appendix ruptured after being punched in the stomach.
