2) True faithfulness means loving God supremely and being willing to give up anything else if necessary. Without complete commitment to God, one's faith is weak.
3) Faithfulness, or being faithful, is a fruit of the Holy Spirit that involves believing God's word is true and can be trusted despite challenges. It is the Spirit that enables Christians to have true faithfulness.

This document advertises a seminar on evangelism titled "Help My Unbelief" presented by Edwin Jones from October 15-17, 2010. The seminar will focus on the biblical story found in Mark 9:14-29 where Jesus heals a boy with an unclean spirit and the father says "help my unbelief". The seminar will examine topics like the power of faith, tests of faith, sources of doubt and faith, and how to overcome a lack of faith.
The KJV translates Job 13:15 as "trust" whereas the NIV translates it as "hope". While trust and faith are related, trust refers to actively believing God's promises in all circumstances based on the faith given by God. Trust involves living out full acceptance of God's promises daily. The Bible emphasizes trusting fully in God alone rather than human understanding. Biblical hope also involves full confidence and assurance in God's promises, without any doubt, based on faith in God as the sure foundation. So both trust and hope as used in Job 13:15 refer equivalently to believing confidently in God despite difficulties.
Solomon encourages believers to rely on God's grace through prayer, as demonstrated in the Bible where prayer was answered for Elijah, Hannah, and Jesus. He warns that withdrawing from faith is like returning to vomit and urges readers to remain steadfast in faith and grace until Christ's return.
The document discusses the importance of faith and prayer. It notes that through God's grace, believers can accomplish more than what seems possible through their own efforts alone. It encourages readers to remain alert against temptation from the devil and to persist in prayer, as prayer was effective for prophets like Elijah, Hannah, and Jesus. The document concludes by advising readers to remain steadfast in their faith until Christ's return.
Communion depicts the ugliness of Jesus' crucifixion to portray our relationship with Him. While we feast on bread and wine, Jesus washes our feet through communion, showing that the service enacts our relationship with Him beyond just sharing a meal together with unwashed feet as a barrier. True obedience comes from the heart through identifying with Jesus' will and finding delight in His service after knowing Him through communion with God.
The document provides an overview of confirmation in Christianity. It defines confirmation as strengthening one's Christian faith and life through Bible study. It explains that confirmation classes aim to strengthen students spiritually by teaching biblical doctrines and stressing salvation through Jesus Christ alone. The confirmation ceremony publicly reaffirms one's faith in and commitment to remaining faithful to Jesus.

Fall 2011 i will connect- oct 16 p js sermon slides (2)John Smith
This document outlines five commitments that define a Christian, including seeking God passionately, obeying God joyfully, and connecting with other followers of Jesus by building accountable relationships. It defines accountable relationships as those in which individuals call each other to account for their faith, and explains six essentials for building such relationships: meeting face-to-face regularly, using God's word, being honest beneath surface levels, developing trust, and spurring spiritual growth.
The document summarizes the meaning and significance of Eid’l Adha, the Feast of Sacrifice. It describes how Prophet Ibrahim was tested by Allah to sacrifice his son Isma'il, though a ram was substituted at the last moment. This story represents the importance of obedience and sacrifice to Allah. Eid’l Adha reminds Muslims to sacrifice their desires and get closer to Allah through avoiding indulgence, sacrificing pleasures, and reconfirming their faith and oneness with God.
1. The document discusses the basic gospel message of sin, Jesus' sacrifice, and salvation through repentance and faith.
2. It provides guidance on sharing one's testimony, including why it's important and examples from the Bible. Common barriers to sharing are also addressed.
3. Detailed outlines are given for constructing an effective personal testimony, with sections on life before and after faith in Jesus and how one came to believe. Guidelines emphasize glorifying God and focusing on Jesus.
The document discusses how a "fit faith" can help believers overcome obstacles like pessimism, unbelief, temptation, and strengthen them. It provides several Bible verses on having a faith that is strong, courageous, and trusts that God is greater than any challenge faced. Developing perseverance through trials and knowing God's power at work within allows faith to overcome.
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13
This document discusses the dramatic changes that can occur in people through faith in Jesus Christ. It notes the changes in the disciples from fearful to courageous witnesses, in Paul from persecutor of the church to apostle, and in Jesus' own family. It asserts that this change comes through Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection, which offers believers eternal life. The document emphasizes building up faith, praying, keeping in God's love, and looking to Jesus for mercy and life.
This document discusses the importance of trusting in God rather than material things or other people. It notes that God is eternal, all-powerful, and a source of rest. The document encourages seeking a close relationship with God and making trust in Him a natural part of one's character over time. It suggests reading Psalm 23 to understand how to trust in God and finding solace that present troubles are temporary lessons. Contact information is provided for those seeking prayer or transportation to a nearby church.
This document provides a summary of a sermon given on Romans 3:19-4:4 about justification through faith alone. The sermon makes several key points:
1) The law reveals our sin but cannot justify us or make us righteous. Faith in Jesus Christ alone justifies us and brings God's righteousness.
2) All people have sinned and fall short of God's glory, but through faith in Jesus, God imputes his righteousness to believers, apart from works.
3) Believing God and having faith in him alone brings him glory. Faith pleases God and is the only way to be made righteous in his sight. Works cannot save and would rob God of glory.
This document discusses the goodness of God. It contains several quotes and passages from the Bible emphasizing that God is good and loves humanity unconditionally. The overall message is that people often have misconceptions about God, believing that he is angry or judging them for their sins or unworthiness. However, the document asserts that God deals with people based on their identity as his children, not based on their behavior or condition, and that his love for humanity is endless, overwhelming, and unfathomable.
This document discusses the meaning of the verse "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" from Philippians 4:13. It explains that the "him" referred to is Jesus Christ, and through faith in Him we can achieve anything. It describes how Paul was able to endure many hardships and sufferings for his faith because he derived strength from Christ. The passage is not promising financial prosperity but rather the ability to endure difficulties through Christ's power.
This document is a sermon that distinguishes between Christian "hype" and Christian "hope". It argues that hype promotes a gospel of salvation from suffering, while hope promotes a gospel of salvation through suffering, as exemplified by Jesus. The sermon uses the story of the disciples on the road to Emmaus to show how Jesus interpreted the scriptures to reveal how the Messiah had to suffer before entering glory. It concludes that true Christian faith is based not on hype but on the realized and future hopes of resurrection.
This document discusses how to gain assurance of salvation through Jesus Christ. It provides three tests one can use: 1) A doctrinal test of believing Jesus is the Son of God. 2) A relationships test of loving other believers. 3) An obedience test of following Jesus' commands as revealed in scripture. Passing these three tests can give someone confidence that they have indeed been saved through faith in Christ.
The document discusses how Jesus cares for people and will answer prayers according to his will. It references two Bible verses that say if people ask anything according to God's will, he will hear them, and that people should make all of their requests known to God with prayer and thanksgiving. The conclusion is that Jesus cares about what people are going through and will answer prayers according to his perfect will, so people should praise and thank him.
Dr. Vernon Secrets of the Vine Pt. 6- make a wish - sunday, may 5th - sermo...shepherdsconnection
The document summarizes a sermon given on John 15:7, in which there are three key points:
1) There are three common interpretations of what the "burned branches" in John 15:6 refer to, but the best interpretation is that they represent professing Christians who are not genuinely saved.
2) John 15:7 promises that if believers remain connected to Christ and His word remains in them, their prayers will be granted according to God's will.
3) When believers bear much fruit, it brings God glory and proves that they are truly Christ's disciples. The sermon encourages believers to "make a wish" and have faith that God will grant their prayers according to His
1. The document discusses the love of God, which involves believing in Jesus as the Christ, loving God and obeying his commandments, which are not burdensome.
2. Those born of God overcome the world through their faith in Jesus as the Son of God.
3. Jesus' coming was attested to by his water baptism and blood sacrifice on the cross, witnessed by the Holy Spirit, providing testimony that compels belief in God's Son and eternal life.
This document discusses the sin of judgmentalism, where people elevate their own opinions to the level of biblical truth and judge others harshly. Judgmentalism is subtle because it can be disguised as zeal for righteousness. The document cautions against judging others based on superficial factors like dress. While clear biblical sins can be identified, we must avoid an attitude of self-righteousness and point others to repentance rather than condemnation. We are warned against demonizing those with differing beliefs, though doctrines like justification by faith alone are non-negotiable.
The Holy Spirit brings people to faith in Jesus and sanctifies them through the means of God's Word and sacraments. The Spirit uses the gospel message found in Scripture and Baptism and Lord's Supper to wash away sins, turn people from the sinful world to be holy, and create and strengthen saving faith in believers. Without the Spirit's work through these means, no one could come to faith on their own due to our sinful, spiritually blind nature.
We are living in the days where great faith is needed to survive in this world. I often cringe when I look at the news. What do we have to look forward to? Today, we face a volatile economy, with the dow plunging more than 2,300 points on this past Thursday and deemed to be the worst day on Wall Street since 1987 (they are said to have rebounded from the plunge). There is a global crisis, a pandemic, as the coronavirus outbreak continues to spread, topping out at 125,000 cases globally. The world is in a sheer panic with consumers buying items such as, toilet paper and hand sanitizer in bulk and major events, schools and entertainments venues shutting down. As for our political climate, well, Trump is our president. I will leave it at that. Violence and Sodomy, as we know, continues to run rampant. Not to mention the natural disasters we face. This list goes on and on.
This document is a chapter from a book about faith by Pope Shenouda III. It discusses what faith truly is. Faith is not just believing mentally, but involves how one lives. True faith is demonstrated through good works and obedience to God's commandments. Faith bears fruit in one's life and draws one closer to God. The chapter examines examples from the Bible of people who lived lives of true faith through their righteousness, obedience to God, and trust in His promises, even without seeing the outcomes. Faith is believing in realities beyond what we can perceive with our physical senses.

The holy spirit fruit of faithfulness 2GLENN PEASE
This document discusses the fruit of the spirit of faithfulness. It begins by defining faithfulness as loyalty, trustworthiness, and dependability. It then examines examples of faithfulness in biblical figures like Abraham and Sarah, and discusses how demonstrating faithfulness is important to building relationships with God and others. The document encourages growing in faithfulness by prioritizing God and commitments, and eliminating unfaithful behaviors. It stresses that true faith requires commitment to God's teachings, not just believing in God.
The strength of faith lies in each and everything that you do. It is there and many times we fail to see because we are seeing it with the worldly eye and not with the inner eye. We must be able to see the wonder that God has done in the smallest of the smallest things.
This document provides a summary of Romans 4:18-25 and discusses Abraham's faith in God's promise to make him the father of many nations despite being old and his wife Sarah being barren. The summary is:
1) Abraham believed God's promise against all human reasoning and his and Sarah's inability to conceive naturally.
2) Abraham's faith was credited to him as righteousness, showing that justification comes through faith, not works.
3) The passage teaches that if believers have faith in God, who raised Jesus from the dead, their faith will also be credited as righteousness.

Developing A Dynamic Faith James 2:14-26 Adapted from a Tim Bond sermon http://www.sermoncentral.com/sermons/developing-a-dynamic-faith-tim-bond-sermon-on-faith-49446.asp
A look at the definition of faith, and its amazing importance for the Christian life, with illustrations of the Biblical role of faith in the lives of God's people.
The document discusses how having faith in Christ's forgiveness of sins through his death and resurrection leads to improved well-being. It emphasizes that Christians can be secure in their relationship with God. This security is important to grow in faith and serve others well without lacking confidence in God's acceptance. The document outlines three arguments from scripture for why a Christian's salvation is secure: direct statements about eternal security, Christians' unchanging positions before God, and God causing believers to persevere through life to salvation not by their own efforts alone. This security allows Christians to invest in their relationship with God without being burdened by guilt or worries over their acceptance.
The document discusses the nature of faith from both divine and human perspectives. It states that faith is a gift from God that allows us to be saved and please Him. It also explains that from the human perspective, faith must be exercised through works, grows despite doubts through interacting with Jesus, and acts as a shield against the devil. The document emphasizes having faith in Jesus Christ as the foundation.
Paul looks back to Israel's history in the wilderness following the Exodus to draw lessons for the Corinthians about not grumbling or testing God as Israel did. He references specific events where Israel engaged in idolatry, sexual immorality, or put Christ to the test and faced consequences. Paul uses these examples to warn believers about overconfidence leading to disobedience and falling away from faith in God, who provides escape from temptation.

Faith and Its importance in Christian Life: Steps to improve in Faith by Br...Sarath Thomas
This document discusses the importance of faith for Christians. It begins by explaining how faith brings spiritual things into the physical realm and is necessary to please God. It then discusses how modern ideas have reduced faith to being unimportant. Several philosophers are quoted questioning the existence of God. The document argues that faith is still important for Christians as the source of their strength and participation in God's plan. It provides several steps to improve one's faith such as feeding on God's word, acting on faith, and meditating on scripture. It concludes by emphasizing that humans are created to have a relationship with God through faith.

Lição 12: João 15 a 17 – O Espírito Santo e a Oração Sacerdotal | 2° Trimestr...OmarBarrezueta1
Astronism, Cosmism and Cosmodeism: the space religions espousing the doctrine...Cometan
This lecture created by Brandon Taylorian (aka Cometan) specially for the CESNUR Conference held Bordeaux in June 2024 provides a brief introduction to the legacy of religious and philosophical thought that Astronism emerges from, namely the discourse on transcension started assuredly by the Cosmists in Russia in the mid-to-late nineteenth century and then carried on and developed by Mordecai Nessyahu in Cosmodeism in the twentieth century. Cometan also then provides some detail on his story in founding Astronism in the early twenty-first century from 2013 along with details on the central Astronist doctrine of transcension. Finally, the lecture concludes with some contributions made by space religions and space philosophy and their influences on various cultural facets in art, literature and film.

Lucid Dreaming: Understanding the Risks and Benefits
The ability to control one's dreams or for the dreamer to be aware that he or she is dreaming. This process, called lucid dreaming, has some potential risks as well as many fascinating benefits. However, many people are hesitant to try it initially for fear of the potential dangers. This article aims to clarify these concerns by exploring both the risks and benefits of lucid dreaming.
The Benefits of Lucid Dreaming
Lucid dreaming allows a person to take control of their dream world, helping them overcome their fears and eliminate nightmares. This technique is particularly useful for mental health. By taking control of their dreams, individuals can face challenging scenarios in a controlled environment, which can help reduce anxiety and increase self-confidence.
Addressing Common Concerns
Physical Harm in Dreams Lucid dreaming is fundamentally safe. In a lucid dream, everything is a creation of your mind. Therefore, nothing in the dream can physically harm you. Despite the vividness and realness of the dream experience, it remains entirely within your mental landscape, posing no physical danger.
Mental Health Risks Concerns about developing PTSD or other mental illnesses from lucid dreaming are unfounded. As soon as you wake up, it's clear that the events experienced in the dream were not real. On the contrary, lucid dreaming is often seen as a therapeutic tool for conditions like PTSD, as it allows individuals to reframe and manage their thoughts.
Potential Risks of Lucid Dreaming
While generally safe, lucid dreaming does come with a few risks as well:
Mixing Dream Memories with Reality Long-term lucid dreamers might occasionally confuse dream memories with real ones, creating false memories. This issue is rare and preventable by maintaining a dream journal and avoiding lucid dreaming about real-life people or places too frequently.
Escapism Using lucid dreaming to escape reality can be problematic if it interferes with your daily life. While it is sometimes beneficial to escape and relieve the stress of reality, relying on lucid dreaming for happiness can hinder personal growth and productivity.
Feeling Tired After Lucid Dreaming Some people report feeling tired after lucid dreaming. This tiredness is not due to the dreams themselves but often results from not getting enough sleep or using techniques that disrupt sleep patterns. Taking breaks and ensuring adequate sleep can prevent this.
Mental Exhaustion Lucid dreaming can be mentally taxing if practiced excessively without breaks. It’s important to balance lucid dreaming with regular sleep to avoid mental fatigue.
Lucid dreaming is safe and beneficial if done with caution. It has many benefits, such as overcoming fear and improving mental health, and minimal risks. There are many resources and tutorials available for those interested in trying it.
Introduction
Mantra Yoga is an exact science. "Mananat trayate iti mantrah- by the Manana (constant thinking or recollection) of which one is protected or is released from the round of births and deaths, is Mantra." That is called Mantra by the meditation (Manana) on which the Jiva or the individual soul attains freedom from sin, enjoyment in heaven and final liberation, and by the aid of which it attains in full the fourfold fruit (Chaturvarga), i.e., Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. A Mantra is so called because it is achieved by the mental process.

2. Faith is a word that we get to hear every now
and then. Faith in God according to the Holy
Scriptures, means to trust and believe Him in
any situations and circumstances. We do not
see God, inspite of it we believe in Him and
trust that He will help and guide us. This is also
an example of faith.
WHAT IS FAITH IN CHRIST?
3. HOW CAN FAITH CHANGE
YOUR LIFE?
In the Holy Bible it is written in “Mark 5: 25-
34”, that how a woman had faith that even if
she could touch Jesus garment she would be
cured of her twelve years blood issue.
Because of her faith she was healed of the
disease. This is how faith can change the lives
of people.
4. HOW DOES FAITH COME IN
GOD?
It has been clearly in Romans10:17 “So, then
faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the
word of God”. Without knowing the word of
God we cannot place our faith in God.
5. WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU LACK
IN FAITH?
Lack in faith creates loss and it has been said
in James 1:6:7 “But let him ask in faith,
nothing wavering. For that he wavereth is
like a wave of the sea driven with the wind
and tossed. Foe let not that man think that
he shall receive anything of the Lord.”
6. HOW CAN YOU GROW
IN FAITH?
Knowing the word of God is the only way to
grow in faith. So, how can you know the word
of God? Reading the Holy Bible is the way to
know the word of God. The other way is to
watch the Christian movies or listen to the
sermons given by the priest or the believers
of Christ.
7. CROSSFLIX: HELPS TO GROW IN
FAITH
Crossflix is an online TV where you can watch
Christian movies, faith movies, biblical

Christian and faith movies along with
