Manager's MeetingGeneral RulesGames are a best of fifteen (15) series with a 30 minute time limit.
If the time limit is reached, the team with the most games wins. In case of a tie at the end of 30 minutes, one last game will be played to determine a winner.
After the first 8 games, there will be a two (2) minute half-time.
Teams switch sides at this point.
Teams must start each game with no less than 3 and no more than 4 players.
In co-rec, one female must begin each game to avoid a forfeit.Manager's MeetingThe Dodgeball CourtThe field of play consists of the entire court; each wall is considered “inbounds.”
The center line will be the short line of the racquetball court, which is the one closest to the door.
It will be marked with cones.
Balls are considered dead once they hit the ground, ceiling, or either back wall.

Manager's MeetingStarting a GameAt the beginning of the game, two balls are given to each team.
Players begin facing their respective back wall.
Extra players must remain outside the court and may only enter after a game has been completed.

    A player onthe opposing team catches a thrown ball in the air.

    A player hitsan opposing player in the head with a thrown ball.

    The ball hitsthe ground or ceiling prior to contacting the player.
  • 24.
    The ball hitsa backwall before contacting the player.

    If a playercatches a ball that hits the back wall first, the thrower is NOT out.
  • 26.
    The ball hitsthe player but is caught by a teammate prior to hitting the ground.

    When a playercatches a thrown ball in the air, the thrower is out.
  • 31.
    If players onthe catching team are out, one player may return to player or “regenerate”.

    When a playercatches a ball that first bounced off a teammate and has not hit the ground, the thrower is out.

    In this situation,an out player on the catching team does not regenerate, since the catcher has already “saved” their teammate.Manager's MeetingHolding the BallA player may hold the ball for 15 seconds, after which they must throw the ball.

    They are outfor delay of game if they hold the ball longer than 15 seconds.

    Players may usea ball to defend themselves by deflecting throws.

    If the ballis deflected off a held ball and caught, the thrower is out.
  • 37.
    If a playerdrops a ball as a result of contact with a thrown ball, that player is out.
  • 38.
    If a thrownball is deflected with a held ball into a player, that player is out.Manager's MeetingOutsOnce OUT, players must stand with their backs against their team’s right-side wall.

    All active playersmust remain inbounds.
  • 40.
    If players areout, they may retrieve balls for their teammates.
  • 41.
    Players who areout may not hold balls for their ‘in’ teammates.
  • 42.
    They may retrievedead balls within their reach and roll or kick them to their teammates.
  • 43.
    BUT, their backsmust remain against the wall at all times.
  • 44.
    They may neverdeflect a live ball.Manager's MeetingUnsportsmanlike PenaltiesPlayers who receive 2 unsportsmanlike penalties in a game, will be ejected from the game and the facility.
