7. Buying & Merchandising
The buying role differs between companies, be in independent start-ups or global fashion houses. We get that. We recognise the nuances and
idiosyncrasies between each brand and category. Partnering an organisation that understands this saves time and improves the quality of each
shortlist.
The role of the merchandiser sits at the heart of retail. In the future, development of this role will go hand in hand with technological advances.We
are clearly moving away from the original process-driven focus on allocation and replenishment, governed by departmental-based store grading,
to one that is essentially much more data-driven and analytical in nature. We spotted this a whille ago and have created talent pools to match
this change in demand.
