MY UNIQUE PERSPECTIVE
AS AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT
Having traveled to 36 countries, I would say that I have witnessed
and explored several different cultures. This exposure allowed me
to become a more open-minded and diverse individual.
I would say that at the age of 17, it is always important to have a
wide perspective, especially while going through high school and
before university, as these are both activities that involve
interacting with a large number of people from different
backgrounds and cultures.
Since I went to an international high school, I was constantly
surrounded by people from different cultures and nationalities.
This helped with my cultural adaptability, but it was not always
easy for me to have an unbiased mindset, it was a trait that I
worked on for years.
Having multiple cultural experiences such as this also helped in an
academic environment, broadening my perspective during
academic discussions, and ensuring that all topics are inclusive of
all cultures and perspectives.
As an IB learner, it has also lead to more creative and the
development of my innovative problem-solving skills, due to my
exposure to different ways of thinking and approaching challenges.

The constant changes in the business environment. The world of business is constantly growing and
evolving, and the ability to adapt to change is crucial. Exposure to diverse perspectives and experiences has
enhanced my flexibility and resilience, which is important in order to navigate the business landscape.
The business markets are diverse. Customers come from various backgrounds and with different values,
beliefs, and needs. Since my goal is to specialize in marketing, after business administration it is imperative
that I have the values and the diverse qualifications to understand the real market more accurately,
allowing for more realistic and practical learning experiences.
Diverse classrooms provide networking opportunities with a wide range of individuals, offering access to a
broader spectrum of industry contacts, cultural insights, and potential collaborations that can be beneficial
throughout careers. With the diverse environment of IEU, and the masses of international students,
networking should require a background of diversity.

5. Growing up in India, I experienced the unique challenge of navigating an interracial marriage between parents
from distinct religious backgrounds – Hinduism and Islam. This union, uncommon in our society, presented
me with the opportunity to forge my identity through the clash of contrasting cultures. The difficulties I faced
in such a situation were mirrored by the resistance from both sides of my extended family, who struggled to
accept the unconventional marriage.
The tension stemming from familial disapproval had a negative impact on my childhood, hindering the
development of meaningful relationships with both sides of my extended family. The sentiment of "either-or"
within Indian societies made it challenging to bridge the gap between the two opposing religious worlds in my
upbringing.
However, amidst the challenges, I found a silver lining in the form of a unique opportunity to delve deeply into
the intricacies of both Hinduism and Islam. Unlike many people in India who face an exclusive adherence to
one religion, the interfaith marriage of my parents exposed me to the world of two distinct belief systems. This
exposure not only broadened my understanding of religion but also gave me a new unique perspective.

what I wanted to pursue, but not
necessarily in the field of automotors

internships I did every summer for a month from 2021-2023 in
marketing agencies and firms.

This was the internship where I was convinced
that I wanted to do marketing, preferably for the
fast food industry. I pursued this internship for 2
summers, and I learnt a lot about the way the
world of business and marketing operate.

CONCLUSION
Since discovering this university, it has
become one of my biggest aspirations. The
IEU's diverse and dynamic community is a key
factor in my desire to attend, as I believe it
will contribute significantly to my holistic
growth. I am eager to bring my unique
perspective to the university, adding a
distinctive layer to the already remarkable
academic environment.
