Dynamic loading in the longwall face
This document summarizes the experience of dynamic loading and strata control problems faced during longwall mining with a sandstone roof at the Padmavathikhani mine in India. The 11th panel had a sandstone roof which caused major issues. During retreat of the longwall face by 40.6 meters, a large main fall occurred over an area of 6,957 square meters.
