Prayer given out by master Joshua Bright, and he prays to
the lord to agree on discussed issues.
MIN 2 (2:02pm)
Chairperson Lusiba Mikidaadi encouraged us to maintain
cooperation and togetherness for smooth flow of this
cooperative.
MINS 3 (2:03pm)
Chairperson on bee project, confirmed that, by September
we shall be able to harvest honey from around 30 bee
hives.
Furthermore he extended his thanks to FSD for great love
and support they rendered toward development of this
cooperative and people of kyesiiga.

SPEECH AND REPORT FROM THE CHAIRPERSON
LWEMODE FARMERS COOPERATIVE welcomes all its
members and well wishers and the managing committee,
the auditor, for the second meeting that takes place every
year and as the chairperson Lwemode farmers cooperative I
do welcome you all for the meeting.
Lemodde farmers cooperative was started 27-07-2010.at
the time of kick off the cooperative had 14 members and
now the cooperative is comprised of 209 and this has
enabled its existence up to date.
The committee of Lwemode farmers cooperative together
with its members has done great work for the success of
the cooperative through working together and cooperating.

The cooperative is comprised of farmers who are the major
members but we also savings and give loans to the
members.

Lwemode farmers cooperative was started 27-07-2010.at
the time of kick off the cooperative had 14 members and
now the cooperative is comprised of 209
The startup share capital was 500,000/= and currently we
have 5,610,000/=.
Our startup savings from the members of Lwemode farmers
cooperative was 700,000/=which has increased to
11,582,300/=
The amount of money given to people as loans money [loan
portfolio] is 5,610 ,000/=
The accredited people who can access loans from our
cooperative are the following categories
Famers
Agro famers
Livestock farmers
Business
Saloons
Retail shops
Mechanics
Motor mechanics
Civil engineers
Electrical engineers
Members who have been affected by shortcomings are also
given loans which don’t exceed 100,000/=
MEMBERSHIP
For one to become a member he is supposed to buy shares
in the cooperative and pay membership fee of 5000/= and
buy shares at 5000/= each share and for one to become a
full member you have to buy five shares which totals to
25,000/= and two passport photos of that person joining
the cooperative.
OTHER ACTIVITIES DONE BY LWEMODE FARMERS
COPERATIVE
1. Lwemodde farmers cooperative gives exotic cows to its
members as a form of eradicating poverty .last year we had
25 cows that gave birth and currently we have 35 cows and
we have given more cows to more ten members and they
haven’t given birth yet.
2. Last year we have been teaching computer but
unfortunately it was unsuccessful due to the student’s
failure to pay the fees.
3. Lwemode farmer’s cooperative also constructs lightening
rods in schools, religious houses, homes and markets.
4. Solar energy services have been provided to villages at a
lower cost and are still proved to interested clients.
5. Of recent we constructed underground water tanks and
we still construct for interested clients or persons.
6. We have also taught people how to use and make tipi tap
in their homes as a way of promoting hygiene and
controlling spread of diseases.
7. We also type, scan, print and photocopy work
8. Bee keeping project was also started and currently we
have 30 beehives as a way of boosting our income and we
hope to harvest in September this year.
9. We have been able to receive students from various
university both international and national students from
Muteesa 1 royal university and Kyambogo university.
International students have been bought by FSD to help
us improve and teach us on the areas we are not good at so
that we improve our skills as they also learn and benefit
from us.
The above has been possible through working with
different organizations and personnel like FSD ,MKOPA,
caritas Mado, the vice president of Uganda hon. Edward
Kiwanuka Ssekandi and others.
OBJECTIVES OF THE YEAR 2016
Increase on the number of share holders and shares owned
by each member.
Increase on the customer base of solar users which will
lead to increased revenue to the cooperative.
Expansion of the office and increase the number of workers
like the cashier loan officer and manager.
The cooperative is also going to give out loans to boda-
bodas, small-scale industries owners starters and school
fees loans.
We hope to improve our relationship and cooperation with
the office of the vice president of the republic of Uganda
Hon vice president, FSD, and the district especially those
concerned with the cooperatives
We also hope to improve our relationship with the Sub
County and NGOs and government organizations at
different levels.
We also hope to mobilize the youth, the woman groups,
PWDs to form groups so that they can benefit from the
cooperative and central government
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We acknowledge his Excellency Hon. Edward Kiwanuka
Ssekandi for the great cooperation and love him has shown
for this cooperative.
We also appreciate Miss Anita Mago the director FSD for
supporting s in every aspect of development.
We also thank the district commercial officer with his office
for accepting us to register the cooperative and linking us
to farmer’s seminars that have made us great and
increased on our skills.
We uphold our great leaders of kyesiiga Sub County more
so chairperson Abdu Nsubuga for the advice he has offered
to the group and creating awareness among the people of
kyesiiga Sub County and the services we provide.
We thank our auditors Mr. Iga Twenyumize for supporting
us and guiding us to be able to get permanent certificate
from the ministry in Kampala.
We thank our manager for his good relationship with the
members and also thank the members for the great
cooperation with the manager that has led to the success of
the cooperative

TREASURE’S FINANCIAL REPORT AND BURDGET
I do welcome all the members and well wishers, the
managing committee, the auditor for the second meeting
that takes place every year.
As the treasurer Lwemodde farmers cooperative I do
welcome you all for the meeting.
I do thank you for the great work done by the members for
the excellence of the cooperative and success that we have
been able to achieve.
Lwemode farmers cooperative was started 27-07-2010.at
the time of kick off the cooperative had 14 members and
now the cooperative is comprised of 209 where by 118 are
female and 91 are male. The cooperative has 8 groups who
have shares worth 5610000/=
The cooperative has savings of 11,582,300/= and
614000/= from solar, 160,000/= from credit forms issued,
579,000/= from interest on loans, 3,021,000/= from
donors and this year we have given out loans of
7,900,000/= in total. This year we expect to get more
money from shares and to increase on the number of
members who access loans.
Challenges hindered the smooth flow of cooperative’s
activities
1: Inadequate fund for a cooperative to loan more people in
the society
2: Decrease in solar income
This calls for members in Lwemodde farmers cooperative to
support us and back us to get 50 million loan from Uganda
micro finance support centre
AGREE ON GETTING LOAN FROM UGANDA MICRO
FINANNCE CENTRE
Mugerwa kizito brought an idea to borrow fifty million
(50m) shillings from Uganda micro finance centre, he was
seconded by Ssempijja john member of Lwemodde farmers
cooperative.

REACTIONS
Ssenyama Husein (member) raised an idea to increase on
amount of money used in spreading awareness,
advertisement and publicity.
Response Treasurer, Bbaale mudashiru responded that
since we live in modernity, he expected that using text
messaging would be a right option to reach more people in
their respected areas, because 70% of people have phones,
he added, text messaging can also reduce on the amount of
money spend, but he concluded by promising as they will
be change after reviewing budget..
Treasurer, Bbaale Mudashiru and chairperson Lusiba
Mikidaadi requested members to buy more shares and
also to mobilize others to join Lwemodde and save their
money.
Mugerwa vicent from Katwe, asked that a member is
supporsed to start and end with how many shares?
Response auditor responded, that a member is supposed
to end on 1/3 totals shares.
Mukasa Tachi asked, that previously they were promised to
be given sprayers (Bomba) but they don’t know where the
program me stands?

Members were asked to give their thoughts on the budget
given out by Treasurer Mudashiru Bbaale whether they
agree whatever in the budget or disagree, to make some
changes
Waliggo Abdu Karim (member) brought an idea to issue out
budget to, lwemodde farmers cooperative members, then he
was supported by the following Referees

RE- ERECTING LWEMODDE FARMERS COMMITTEE,
There was a need to review the governing committee after
two in the leadership, according to the cooperative rules
and regulation a committee is supposed to be re-elected
after two years. The committee is comprised of 8 leaders,
therefore, auditor requested members to feel free to give
their thoughts on whether there is a need to make some
changes in our committee, or to remain with this
committee, Muddu Alex said that he is worried with the
current committee, because some leaders are always
absent in official meetings, and then he asked chairperson
to explain the cause and to give deep explanation about
their performance.
Response treasurer Bbaale Mudashiru explained that,
some sits like publicity, spokes person, who were absent by
that moment were on official duties outside sub county,
but they are still together with the committee leaders. He
added, if it like that as you think that they are not part of
committee, you would have not be able to see things
moving,

current committee; she added that they have lot of trust in
the current committee, because there is improvement from
the past two years

CLOSURE
Chairperson closed out annual general meeting with a
serious call to all members to work hard toward 5millinium
goal of Lwemodde farmer’s cooperative society limited,
chairperson Lusiba Mikidaad, encouraged members to
invite more people to join Lwemodde, and also encouraged
to increase the number of people who are saving and
accessing loans from Lwemodde farmers cooperative.

Lwemodde farmers cooperative gives exotic cows to its members as a form of eradicating poverty .last year we had 25 cows that gave birth and currently we have 35 cows and we have given more cows to more ten members and they haven’t given birth yet. 2. Last year we have been teaching computer but unfortunately it was unsuccessful due to the student’s failure to pay the fees. 3. Lwemode farmer’s cooperative also constructs lightening rods in schools, religious houses, homes and markets. 4. Solar energy services have been provided to villages at a lower cost and are still proved to interested clients. 5. Of recent we constructed underground water tanks and we still construct for interested clients or persons.
  • 6. 6. We have also taught people how to use and make tipi tap in their homes as a way of promoting hygiene and controlling spread of diseases. 7. We also type, scan, print and photocopy work 8. Bee keeping project was also started and currently we have 30 beehives as a way of boosting our income and we hope to harvest in September this year. 9. We have been able to receive students from various university both international and national students from Muteesa 1 royal university and Kyambogo university. International students have been bought by FSD to help us improve and teach us on the areas we are not good at so that we improve our skills as they also learn and benefit from us. The above has been possible through working with different organizations and personnel like FSD ,MKOPA, caritas Mado, the vice president of Uganda hon. Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi and others. OBJECTIVES OF THE YEAR 2016 Increase on the number of share holders and shares owned by each member. Increase on the customer base of solar users which will lead to increased revenue to the cooperative.
  • 7. Expansion of the office and increase the number of workers like the cashier loan officer and manager. The cooperative is also going to give out loans to boda- bodas, small-scale industries owners starters and school fees loans. We hope to improve our relationship and cooperation with the office of the vice president of the republic of Uganda Hon vice president, FSD, and the district especially those concerned with the cooperatives We also hope to improve our relationship with the Sub County and NGOs and government organizations at different levels. We also hope to mobilize the youth, the woman groups, PWDs to form groups so that they can benefit from the cooperative and central government ACKNOWLEDGEMENT We acknowledge his Excellency Hon. Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi for the great cooperation and love him has shown for this cooperative. We also appreciate Miss Anita Mago the director FSD for supporting s in every aspect of development. Lwemode farmers cooperative was started 27-07-2010.at the time of kick off the cooperative had 14 members and now the cooperative is comprised of 209 where by 118 are female and 91 are male. The cooperative has 8 groups who have shares worth 5610000/=

The cooperative has savings of 11,582,300/= and 614000/= from solar, 160,000/= from credit forms issued, 579,000/= from interest on loans, 3,021,000/= from donors and this year we have given out loans of 7,900,000/= in total. This year we expect to get more money from shares and to increase on the number of members who access loans. Challenges hindered the smooth flow of cooperative’s activities 1: Inadequate fund for a cooperative to loan more people in the society 2: Decrease in solar income This calls for members in Lwemodde farmers cooperative to support us and back us to get 50 million loan from Uganda micro finance support centre AGREE ON GETTING LOAN FROM UGANDA MICRO FINANNCE CENTRE Mugerwa kizito brought an idea to borrow fifty million (50m) shillings from Uganda micro finance centre, he was seconded by Ssempijja john member of Lwemodde farmers cooperative.

  • 12. 1hr&20 MINS (3:22pm) REACTIONS Ssenyama Husein (member) raised an idea to increase on amount of money used in spreading awareness, advertisement and publicity. Response Treasurer, Bbaale mudashiru responded that since we live in modernity, he expected that using text messaging would be a right option to reach more people in their respected areas, because 70% of people have phones, he added, text messaging can also reduce on the amount of money spend, but he concluded by promising as they will be change after reviewing budget.. Treasurer, Bbaale Mudashiru and chairperson Lusiba Mikidaadi requested members to buy more shares and also to mobilize others to join Lwemodde and save their money. Mugerwa vicent from Katwe, asked that a member is supporsed to start and end with how many shares? Response auditor responded, that a member is supposed to end on 1/3 totals shares.
  • 13. Mukasa Tachi asked, that previously they were promised to be given sprayers (Bomba) but they don’t know where the program me stands? Response Treasurer Bbaale mudashiru Members were asked to give their thoughts on the budget given out by Treasurer Mudashiru Bbaale whether they agree whatever in the budget or disagree, to make some changes Waliggo Abdu Karim (member) brought an idea to issue out budget to, lwemodde farmers cooperative members, then he was supported by the following Referees Muddu Alex Mugerwa Vincent RE- ERECTING LWEMODDE FARMERS COMMITTEE, There was a need to review the governing committee after two in the leadership, according to the cooperative rules and regulation a committee is supposed to be re-elected after two years. The committee is comprised of 8 leaders, therefore, auditor requested members to feel free to give their thoughts on whether there is a need to make some changes in our committee, or to remain with this
  • 14. committee, Muddu Alex said that he is worried with the current committee, because some leaders are always absent in official meetings, and then he asked chairperson to explain the cause and to give deep explanation about their performance. Response treasurer Bbaale Mudashiru explained that, some sits like publicity, spokes person, who were absent by that moment were on official duties outside sub county, but they are still together with the committee leaders.
