September 6, 2013 – Miami, Florida – Lea and Roy Black hosted The Blacks’ Annual Gala
Saturday evening helping The Consequences Charity with their program Teach for America. For
the 19th consecutive year the city’s most prestigious charity event started with the red carpet,
followed by the Ketel One Vodka cocktail party, five course meal, auctions and star
performances by Taylor Swift and Beyonce. The night ended with music by Dj Ev.
Celebrity guests in attendance included Lea and Roy Black; Real Housewives of Miami; Kim
Kardashian; reality show star; Bethenny Frankle; Cofounder of Skinny Girl; Nick Swisher;
Cleveland Indians baseball player; Joanna Krupa; Real Housewives of Miami; Lisa and Lenny
Hochstein; Real Housewives of Miam; and others.
“This year’s gala was over the top, I can’t express how thankful I am for all the supporters who
are helping this great cause for teens,” said Lea.
Live auctions had people bidding on Rolex watches, a two year lease on a 2014 Mercedes,
Channel cross body bag and more.

The Consequences charity was founded by Real Housewives of Miami Lea Black to provide
educational resources for the youth. The program has camps, workshops and after school
activities. The activities address life skills, culture, arts and workforce preparation.
