In this presentation, we'll explore the definition of e-waste, its impacts on

What is E-Waste?

TVs.

microwaves, and washing

E-waste also includes the
internal components of
electronic devices such as
circuit boards, wires, and
motors.
The Impacts of Improper
Disposal

Electronic waste often contains
harmful chemicals like lead,
cadmium, and mercury. When
these substances end up in
landfills or are burned, they can
leach into the water supply and
cause serious health problems.
2 Release of toxins into the
air
Burning e-waste releases toxic
fumes into the air, such as
dioxins, furans, and brominated
flame retardants. These
substances can cause respiratory
problems and other health issues.
3 Waste of valuable resources
Electronic devices often contain precious metals like gold, silver, and copper, as
well as other materials that can be recycled. When e-waste is not properly
managed, these resources are lost.
