This document summarizes the tasks completed in an evaluation unit on motion graphics. It describes 9 tasks including using Adobe Illustrator to create a basic logo, generating logo ideas, conducting client research, making mood boards for inspiration, experimenting with symbols and fonts, designing a final logo, completing Adobe After Effects exercises on moving graphics, storyboarding an animated logo, and creating a more complex motion graphics sequence. The tasks covered both static and animated logo design and provided practice with software tools like Illustrator and After Effects.

1. Evaluation Unit 64 (motion graphics)
HA1-
The first part of this unit was to write the definitions to all the different motion graphics. For task 2
and 3 I had to explain what each of them was and give examples.
HA2-
Task 1- Adobe Illustrator Exercises
On this task we had to fill in the photo of four sports men using illustrator. This was to teach us basic
illustrator skills. I found this task difficult as I had never used illustrator before. We were then asked
to use illustrator to create a basic logo.
Task 2- Ideas Generation
For task 2, we had to create an ideas generation for our logo; this was basically drawing out different
possible shapes and ideas for our logo.
Task 3-
Task 3 was our client briefing. We had the sports company for the college come to our class and ask
us to produce a logo for the sports academy. In the client briefing we had to make notes on what
type of logo the ‘clients ‘wanted. They told us they want a logo that has the words “sports academy”
and appealed to all sports. They told us they didn’t want any pictures of specific sports.
Task 4- Mood Boards
On this task we had to make mood boards to get ideas of what other sports academy logos are like.
This was to give us some inspiration on our on logos.

2. Task 5- Symbol and Fonts Experiment
This was to try out lots of different symbols and fonts to see which ones we would like to use on our
final logo. This this all a part of our research
Task 6- Final Logo Design

Task 7- Adobe after Effects Exercise
The adobe after effects exercises were moving graphics. We had to listen to a tutorial to do the
Psyche Smoke. Then we had to make an E4 sting ourselves and make it do something. This was quite
difficult to get used to.
Task 8- Story Board Treatment
We had to create a story board for our moving animation logo for the sports academy.
Task 9- Motion Graphics Sequence
The motion graphics sequence was the devils ride out sequence. We had to listen to the tutorial and
create the devils ride out clip. This took more time to do as it was more complicated.
