{ Who would be the audience for
your media product?
The audience of our media product consists of
many different segments e.g. parents ,
students. Every story has a different audience
but all however are local residents. In order to
ensure that the news we included attracted
individuals living in West London the stories
that we included would all take place in this
area as it would affect a majority of our target
audience.
Local Broadcast
Demographic factor; Region
Above is a map of the local area in
which all of our target audience live
in.
The area marks where we recorder
our vox pop and addressed the
target audience.
Age is also a demographic factor; when constructing our primary
and secondary research we discovered that those who were older
and paid tasks were more likely to listen to the radio ,they wanted
to see what their money was being spent on and how they could
spend the rest of their wages.
As a result of this we have included news stories that relate to
them. One of our news stories mentions affordable housing ; The
article is about how the mayor of London has decided to deal with
the housing crisis in London, by creating £225 million worth of
housing. This has an impact on those tax payers as it is regarding
money.
Age
When gathering our research we found that a majority of teenagers do not
listen to the radio , therefore our target audience will not be teenagers.
We also found that many adults in employment listen to old media e.g. radio
shows where as teenagers use new media e.g. Facebook.
Old media and new media
Old Media is also known as legacy media are traditional means of
communication and expression that have existed since before the advent of the
new medium of the Internet.
New Media is communication using digital technologies such as the Internet
and social networking sights.

Gender
Although gender is a demographic factor it is very minor ;
all news stories are balanced to attract both male and
female members of the audience.
