The third draft of a dissertation was improved in two key ways: 1) page numbers were added so the examiner could mark and reference specific pages when reviewing the lengthy document, and 2) the footer referencing was removed and the Harvard referencing system was implemented as required for the work.

There were two main changes of the third draft in order to be able to produce the final
piece of the dissertation.
The first improvement was to insert page numbers onto the dissertation so that the
examiner can mark each page and reference their mark on each page. Also due to
the dissertation being so long, when the examiner would want to look back on a
paragraph or particular section, the examiner can relate back to the page number to
find the particular piece.
The second improvement is to delete the footer referencing and use the Harvard
referencing system which is the form of referencing which is required for this
particular piece of work.
