London is one of the financial centre of the world. It is also an important centre for performance, arts, museums, theatres and fashion. What is particularly noticeable is that London is made up of two city centres. The City of London for finance, the West End for entertainment and the political entre of Westminster.
This is a basic introduction to London. I've wriiten it for my Secondary school students of English who have taken it as a starting point to make their own presentations.
8. Buckingham Palace Buckingham Palace (Buckingham Palace) is the British monarch's official residence in London. The palace is used for ceremonies and state visits, tours and as a residence by Queen Elizabeth II, and is also the main headquarters of the royal collection of art (Royal Collection), whose main jewels are exhibited to the public. The palace is a meeting point for the British in times of crisis and celebration.
9. Tower Bridge night London Bridge is a bridge in London (England) which crosses the River Thames, between City of London and Southward. It is situated between the bridges of "Cannon Street Railway" and "Tower Bridge" (it is commonly confused with the latter although different bridges). The original London Bridge was burnt by a bakery that caught fire and the flames were spreading and burned the entire bridge in 1750. I bridge is an old one again.

Westminster Cathedral Westminster Cathedral in London, England, is the main temple of the Catholic Church in England and Wales and the Metropolitan Church and Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Westminster. It is the seat of the cardinal archbishop of the Catholic Church in England and Wales. The cathedral is located in Victoria, SW1, in the City of Westminster. It is the largest Catholic church in England and Wales.
