Everglades University was created in 2000 by Belinda and Dr. Arthur Keiser to provide innovative education programs to adult learners. The university offers degree programs in alternative and renewable energy, crisis and disaster management, construction management, aviation, entrepreneurship, and alternative medicine. The alternative medicine program in particular has grown in popularity, attracting students interested in integrating alternative approaches into careers in traditional medicine. Many graduates of the alternative medicine program have found jobs in consulting, clinical work, and healthcare fields that are increasingly integrating wellness and alternative medicine. The university attracts both domestic and international students with its flexible online and on-campus programs catering to working professionals.
