Highest Gross Margin (FORR, IT, TDC, CPBY, IBM)
Forrester Research (FORR) has gross margin of 62.5%, a sales growth of 10.9%,
and trailing 12 months sales of $245.1 million.
Gartner (IT) has gross margin of 57.5%, a sales growth of 10.7%, and trailing 12
months sales of $1.2 billion.
Teradata (TDC) has gross margin of 57.1%, a sales growth of 15.1%, and trailing
12 months sales of $1.9 billion.
China Information Security Technology has gross margin of 48.1%, a sales growth
of 52.7%, and trailing 12 months sales of $134.2 million.
International Business Machines (IBM) has gross margin of 45.3%, a sales growth
of 3%, and trailing 12 months sales of $98.1 billion.
SmarTrend currently has shares of Gartner in an Uptrend and issued the Uptrend
alert on July 26, 2010 at $25.32. The stock has risen 29% since the Uptrend alert
was issued.
SC reserves verdict on plea to prosecute Raja
The Supreme Court on Wednesday reserved its verdict on a plea seeking a
direction to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for grant of sanction to prosecute
former Telecom Minister A Raja in the 2G spectrum case.
A bench of Justices G S Singhvi and A K Ganguly reserved the verdict after
concluding the hearing on the petition filed by Janata Party President
Subramanian Swamy.
The bench asked the Attorney General G E Vahanvati to place before it the
number of matters relating to sanction pending before the competent authority
in various government departments in one week.
The AG said he will check from various departments and inform the court

2G scam: Govt reaches out but BJP firm on JPC probe
•In a bid to end Parliament impasse, the government on Sunday reached out to
BJP saying it was ready for a discussion on 2G spectrum issue and a Supreme
Court-monitored CBI probe but rejected the demand for a JPC, which failed to
cut ice with the main Opposition.
•The senior Congress leader also suggested that the Supreme Court can take
over the supervision of the CBI probe into the 2-G scam. But this prompted the
two leaders to ask as to how the government could ensure this.
Groupon in talks with Google for $3-bn sellout
Groupon, a Chicago-based startup, would give Google more of the $133-billion US
local advertising market and help it benefit from surging demand for coupons, sent
via the Web, for products and services.
Google chief executive officer Eric Schmidt is stepping up the pace of acquisitions
to spur growth and keep from losing business as Facebook, the largest social
networking service, adds features and lures web surfers.
Groupon earlier held failed negotiations with Yahoo! and may not clinch a deal with
Mountain View, California-based Google, the people said.
Groupon may become Google's most expensive target. In 2008, the web search
leader paid $3.2 billion for DoubleClick, an online advertising provider.
