Disney s Zootopia is a great depiction of James Kouzes s and Barry Posner s Five
Practices of Exemplary Leadership. The main protagonist, Judy Hopps, exemplifies
those practices model the way, inspire a shared vision, challenge the process, enable
others to act, and encourage the heart.
The first practice is model the way. According to Kouzes and Posner (2014), in
order to model the way a leader must clarify values by finding your voice and
affirming shared values and set the example by aligning actions with shared values.

My main speculation from this assignment was definitely that people were much
more apt to make a complete stop while being observed rather than not being
observed. When people were being watched they usually stopped because someone
was watching or because they wanted to see who the random person was standing
at the stop sign. People that are oblivious to the fact that they are being watched are
at a higher risk of rolling the stop sign or not stopping at all. Another theory I found

At a young age of three she was boiling water and making hot dogs. What you can
infer is that she is mature for her age. While she was in the hospital one of the nurses
tried to comfort her. One of them squeezed my hand and told I was going to be okay
I know. I said, But if I m not, that s okay too (17). I found this of her to say that even
if she weren t okay she would be okay to be very mature of her at a young age.
I believe her parents are very interesting as well and at times can be irresponsible.
For example when her brother Brian fell off of the back of the couch and they did

Overall I think the events in the novel are very interesting. I believe it is an

from an objective perspective. The author uses biblical quotations from the Rebbe
and facts to reinforce his main points. He also focuses on one main thread that he

Epiphanies in James Joyce s Dubliners Characters in Dubliners experience
revelations in their every day lives which James Joyce called epiphanies. Merriam
Webster defines an epiphany as an illuminating discovery, realization, or disclosure.
While word epiphany has a religious connotation, these epiphanies characters in
Dubliners experience do not bring new experiences and possibility of reform that
epiphanies usually have. Joyce s epiphanies allow characters to better understand
their circumstances, generally full of sadness and grief. After these revelations,
characters go back to their lives with acceptance but frustration. Dubliners fail to see
their situation fully, which is the reason they lacked reaching their full potential.
Dubliners is full of characters in lethargic positions that Joyce saw as the fate of all
Dubliners. In each story, he gave each individual the possibility of an epiphany, but
often the characters failed to break through and see their ability to change their
situations, because of this, some of these epiphanies occur only on the narrative level,
showing the reader that the story s character missed their epiphany. In fact, in The
Dead , the scene is set on/around January 6th, which is the Feast of the Epiphany.
The Feast of the Epiphany celebrates the manifestation of Christ s divinity to the

The story opens on a chilly December morning. An elderly Africanв€’American
woman named Phoenix Jackson is making her way, slowly but surely, through the
woods, tapping an umbrella on the ground in front of her as she walks. Her shoes

Whenever reading a poem you can never really understand what the poem is trying
to portray. To understand the poem, most often it needs to be read multiple times.
When reading any poem, paying close attention to the grammar and rhyme schemes
plays an important part in the understanding. In this essay I will be comparing the
poem writing by Dylan Thomas, Do not go gentle into that good night and Andrew
Hudgins Elegy for My Father, Who Is Not Dead . These two poems can be found in
our lecture book Thinking and Writing about Literature (T.W.L). Both poems focus
on their fathers, as their lives come closer to their death. Even though both poems are
centered around the death of their fathers, the poets have two different meanings of
death.

I broke the poem up into stanzas instead of lines. The first stanza consists of lines 1 3.
The first stanza tells the father to not give up and to keeping fighting. Thomas asks
his father to not be so accepting to death but to put up a fight. He uses the would
rage to encourage his father to be forceful and resistant to death. The second stanza,
lines4 6, describes that wise men realize that death is approaching. Thomas makes
these wise men sound knowledgeable. He makes it know these wise men do not just

McCarthy, is a neo western thriller set in the year 1980 where drug trafficking and
violence along the Mexican border were at its highest. The story draws the reader to
Moss, an everyman who stumbles upon a case filled with money during the
aftermath of a failed drug trade. Soon after, he is being pursued by both a sociopathic
hitman named Chigurh and the town s sheriff Bell. The events that transpire between
these three are overshadowed by the fact that each character is morally ambiguous
and each character s morals are challenged in this story. Moralityis a recurring theme
throughout the novel, and this is evidently seen in each chapter s monologue and
towards the end. Bell, although he questions his own morals due to the events that
he has experienced and seen, is the symbol of morality. McCarthy uses both

I must say that I was a little less than enthralled about receiving a project, which
required me to hunt down and interrogate an established designer to the point of
annoyance. After reading the circulated example and seeing that, the author Chris
Metcalf, started with the same viewpoint. I began to be swayed to the same train of
thought, which had enlightened Chris. A sudden and drastic change in my thoughts
leads me to see that this is, hopefully, my final year as a student designer. The final
year, in which I can ask the questions, delve into, what is commonly believed to be,
general knowledge within the design field.

Or possibly it was the following sentence ( ...As designers we influence the way
people interact with our products... ) as this one sentence made me realise I am the
quiet little voice that tells the user to hold the product like this or tilt it that way or
put the powder here. The intrinsic little conscience of a product is my thoughts
and aspirations for the product. These followed through from my thoughts through
my pencil into the final prototype and finally embedded in every one of product
units manufactured. The product may not be a direct extension of me but perhaps
more closely a child of personal progressions and growing pains as a designer. My
thoughts on this topic lead me down a very long and winding path where I
eventually end up realising. Designers have a lot of power in how a product is used
and interacted with by users. Everyone now knows after watching that one movie
with great power comes great responsibility .
Joe s viewpoint on working is almost a complete flip in thought, complexity and
word count. Learn the game to bend the rules . This seemed simple enough at the
time but now that I have thought about it some more I realise I would like to ask
how far into the grey one can go with the bending of the rules . There are always
question left unanswered and next time I will ask a designer this question I will
