The FBM KLCI index lost 0.29 points or 0.02% on Tuesday. The Finance Index increased 0.11% to
14270.47 points, the Properties Index dropped 0.02% to 1164.29 points and the Plantation Index
rose 0.34% to 7592.65 points. The market traded within a range of 8.15 points between an intra-
day high of 1674.58 and a low of 1666.43 during the session.
Actively traded stocks include VIVOCOM, BORNOIL, VIVOCOM-WB, SGB-PA, HIAPTEK, BJCORP,
KSTAR, AAX, FGV-C11 and NETX. Trading volume increased to 1880.72 mil shares worth
RM2010.62 mil as compared to Monday’s 1699.24 mil shares worth RM1646.39 mil.
Leading Movers were WPRTS (+8 sen to RM4.33), BAT (+70 sen to RM55.00), HLFG (+14 sen to
RM15.20), PBBANK (+14 sen to RM19.54) and IOICORP (+3 sen to RM4.35). Lagging Movers were
YTL (-4 sen to RM1.65), AMMB (-7 sen to RM4.33), IHH (-9 sen to RM6.55), AXIATA (-5 sen to
RM5.75) and KLCC (-4 sen to RM7.51). Market breadth was positive with 424 gainers as com-
pared to 376 losers.
The KLCI was little changed and closed marginally lower at 1670.55 points despite overnight gains
in US market. Market sentiment remained muted due to lack of positive fresh leads.
