The Wat Rong Khun temple in Chiang Rai, Thailand was in bad condition until artist Chalermchai Kositpitat began renovations in the late 20th century. He transformed the temple through structures like the Ubosot hall, Golden Building, and a bridge called "The Cycle of Rebirth," and through mural art that depicts traditional Thai themes. The temple now houses Buddha images and relics and serves as a place for monks to live and for contemplation.
