It is well known that the Decadent movement in European literature (fin de siècle) depends on the narrative of the antiquity, as it is revealed from the discoveries of archaeology in the second half of the 19th century. Amid the ruins of the past authors, painters and poets reconceptualize time and history through a modernist vision based on a imaginary reconfiguration of the antiquity. In this context, the myth of a city (Pompei) or of a woman (Salomé) offer examples which would illustrate in a great variety the synergy of a multi temporal and multi cultural memory of the myth. We describe a methodology on how mixed reality simulations should capitalize on these literary mythical notions in order to provide an enhanced feeling of presence for the heritage site visitor. These are early results of a researchproject from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki that seeks to study and present to the research community a comparative interpretation of female myths of biblical heroines using modern theoretical readings on gender and retrospectively historical and literary texts combined with mixed reality simulation technologies.

➤ Il nostro caso analizzerà e studierà il tipo di
relazione che si instaura tra i comportamenti
imprenditoriali e i tratti della personalità in
America Latina (LATAM), in relazione con
l’ambiente in cui si sviluppano le imprese. Degli
studi precedentemente eseguiti nel 1989 da
Gartner supportano la tesi che afferma come lo
studio dei tratti della personalità non fosse di
supporto alla definizione di imprenditorialità.
➤ Tuttavia recenti analisi condotte da Rauch e
Frese, hanno ribattuto questa tesi andando ad
affermare come le due variabili sia connesse tra
loro riaprendo possibili scenari futuri con
ulteriori ricerche e considerando altre due
variabili come il rischio e l’ambiente e come
queste possano influenzare i tratti della
personalità e i comportamenti imprenditoriali.
Noi ci concentreremo su una serie di tratti della
personalità i quali sono più propensi ad abbinarsi
con le diverse modalità di gestione di un’impresa
e che con più probabilità si connettono ai diversi
comportamenti imprenditoriali.

➤ Per verificare le nostre 3 ipotesi prendiamo in considerazione un campione di individui con età compresa tra i 25 e i
65 anni, economicamente attivi (tutti quegli individui in età da lavoro), che vivono in aree urbane, selezionando
città di 9 stati del Sud America (Argentina, Bolivia, Brasile, Colombia, Ecuador, Perù, Uruguay, Venezuela e
Panama) in comparazione con una città degli USA (Los Angeles).
➤ Per il Sud America (LATAM) abbiamo a nostra disposizione un campione di 5680 casi e per Los Angeles 402 casi.
➤ Utilizzando i dati forniti dall’ECAF (banca dati), si procederà con la valutazione empirica per comprendere come le
caratteristiche della personalità siano correlate con la scelta di essere un imprenditore in LATAM (H1 e H2) e il
confronto tra i tratti della personalità e i comportamenti imprenditoriali confrontandoli con una città degli Stati
Uniti (Los Angeles, H3). Per far ciò sono stati utilizzati il metodo Logit Multinomiale e la Regressione Logistica.

6. ➤ Questi dati vengono inseriti nel modello logit multinomiale e vengono associati ai sei tratti della personalità presi in
considerazione dal caso:
➤ H1: Il modello ci permette, tenendo
come costante la categoria NE, di
eliminare la sua indeterminatezza
mostrando come il cambiamento di
un’unità variabile X (ad esempio il
sesso, maschio) la probabilità dell’esito
Y (ad esempio essere o meno
imprenditore) si modifica (rispetto al
risultato di base a patto che tutte le altre
variabili vengano mantenute costanti.
➤ Il modello evidenzia come 4 su 6 tratti
sono positivamente correlati con
l’essere imprenditore. Essi sono:
orientamento ai risultati, autonomia,
attitudine al rischio, multitasking. Nel
caso di altri individui che mostrano un
comportamento imprenditoriale più
debole, l’associazione risulta minore.

7. ➤ H2: per confermare l’ipotesi utilizzeremo la regressione logistica e sarà confrontato il comportamento
imprenditoriale di tipo E rispetto alle altre tipologie (SE, EP, PE), escludendo la categoria NE.
➤ La seguente tabella è una prova a
sostegno di H2 che mostra il
confronto tra la categoria E e gli altri
comportamenti imprenditoriali. In
particolare si nota come i coefficienti
di E siano più grandi rispetto alle
altre tipologie di imprenditore.
➤ Prendendo in esempio il confronto tra
l’imprenditore E contro SE
(lavoratore autonomo), troviamo
differenze nei tratti di orientamento ai
risultati e per l’attitudine al rischio
(medio-alta).
➤ Vi sono più probabilità che queste
siano maggiormente presenti nella
categoria E rispetto ad SE.
➤ Questo tipo di risultato si poteva già verificare nella tabella precedente, utilizzando il modello Logit Multinomiale, in
quanto i valori della categoria di imprenditore E erano per la maggior parte superiori rispetto alle altre tipologie di
comportamenti imprenditoriali.

8. ➤ Come ipotizzato dalla figura a sinistra,
l’associazione tra i tratti della
personalità e i comportamenti
imprenditoriali è mediata dall’ambiente.
➤ Nei paesi dove l’ambiente risulta più
“debole” i tratti della personalità sono
manifestati in maniera più accentuata
dagli imprenditori.
➤ Pertanto ci aspettiamo di osservare che
in LATAM dove l’ambiente per le
aziende risulta più incerto i tratti di
personalità degli imprenditori saranno
più evidenti rispetto a quelli di LA.
➤ Le affermazioni appena elencate
verranno verificate attraverso le analisi
associate ad H3.

9. ➤ Dopo aver effettuato le analisi precedenti,
nell’ipotesi H3 ci si aspetta una più forte
associazione tra i tratti della personalità e
comportamenti imprenditoriali in LATAM
rispetto a Los Angeles (USA), prendendo
in considerazione una nuova variabile:
l’ambiente.
➤ In questo caso utilizzeremo la regressione
logistica, che è un metodo che si basa sul
Logit Mulitnomiale ma esclude la
c a t e g o r i a d e i d i s o c c u p a t i ,
precedentemente inclusi.
➤ Nel caso del confronto possiamo vedere
come i tratti della personalità (autonomia,
auto efficacia, pensiero innovativo e
attitudine al rischio medio-alto) presentino
dei valori significativamente inferiori nel
caso di Los Angeles rispetto al LATAM.

10. RISULTATI E CONCLUSIONI
➤ H1: la correlazione tra i tratti della personalità e i comportamenti degli imprenditori rispetto ai non
imprenditori risulta evidenziata positivamente nei tratti: orientamento ai risultati, attitudine al
rischio medio-alto e alto.
➤ H2: la correlazione positiva tra i tratti di personalità e le varie tipologie di imprenditore tenendo
costante la categoria E, evidenzia come vi siano delle similitudini tra tutte le categorie.
L’imprenditore E ha tratti di personalità rilevanti per: orientamento ai risultati, autocontrollo e
l’alta attitudine al rischio.
➤ H3: L’aspettativa di avere una forte associazione tra tratti di personalità e comportamenti
imprenditoriali nel caso di LATAM in comparazione con LA ci porta ad affermare come l’ambiente
abbia un ruolo di moderatore e la influenzi. Gli imprenditori del LATAM grazie al loro “ambiente
debole” hanno definito maggiormente i loro tratti della personalità rispetto agli imprenditori
americani nella città di Los Angeles. Paragonando gli imprenditori LATAM vs LA possiamo notare
come emergano significative differenze tra le due tipologie, in particolare: autonomia, auto efficacia,
autocontrollo, tolleranza al rischio.
