You have to believe. We are capable of believing because everybody believes in something. You either believe you are pretty, your forehead is big, you believe your tall, you believe many things about you. When you believe your real height, then you can stop acting like your tall. Because you are functioning in the wrong height, it brought the wrong things to you. You were handling stuff bigger than you.
Who do we trust the most, God or man? God's plan for us is simple and it includes, peace, joy, happiness, freedom, prosperity and life. Man's plan has none of those and if you do find any of those in this world, it will only be for a short period of time.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

2. every woman feels it I know I am not alone in this nagging sense of failing to measure up, a feeling of not being good enough as a woman. Every woman I’ve ever met feels it – something deeper than just the sense of failing at what she does. An underly, gut feeling of failing at who she is. I am not enough, and, I am too much at the same time. Not pretty enough, not thin enough, not kind enough, not gracious enough, not disciplined enough. But too emotional, too needy, too sensitive, too strong, too opinionated, too messy. Stasi Elderedge, Captivating
3. every woman wants it. It’s not just physical beauty or inner beauty we want. We want to be enough as we are. We want someone to say, “It’s okay. There’s no need to strive. You are lovely as you are.”
4. but… Based off the lies and messages the world feeds us, we create standards to live by. Standards that will make us feel like enough. Until someone else gives us something to change our perspective.
6. i asked - how do you think we can be enough? pretty skinny/great body extra flirty/seductive smarter funny bubbly fun right clothes right friends
7. low self esteem/insecurity stress emotional exhaustion eating disorders social awkwardness jealousy/coveting discontent conceit dependency sexual stuff timidity we said - trying to be all of those things leads to:
8. who tells us we need that to be enough? media “cool” peers society family assumptions/expectations
9. why do they tell us those things? power greed attention money personal gain
16. 1. know TRUTH Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. The first step to fighting lies? Know Truth. Get in the Word. If it doesn’t line up with Jesus, it’s not Truth. And if it’s not Truth… it’s a lie.
17. 2. be AWARE of the lies When you know Truth, you’ll begin to recognize lies. But do more. Actively look for the lies you let yourself believe. Be self-controlled and alert.
18. 3. IGNORE them. We’re dead to sin. Ignore the lies. Dead means no response. Ground yourself in Truth. Don’t let the lies keep you from the amazing plans God has for you.
19. Because He does have plans. Great plans, in fact. He’s going to complete a good work in you.
20. Because He loves you. Yes, you. He finds you stunning. His amazing creation. Beautiful. Breathtaking.
21. And you ARE valuable. So valuable that Jesus in all of his glory and perfection gave up his life for you. Because He thinks you’re worth it.
22. And He wants to know you. He wants to help you fight the lies. All you have to do is say ,“Alright, Jesus. Let’s do this. You and me, but mostly You. Because You’re the Way and Truth, and I need You.”
23. a little (more) Bible to get you started John 8:42-44 (NIV) Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me. Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. 1 Peter 5: 8-10 (NIV) Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
24. a little Bible to get you started Romans 12:2 (NIV) Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Philippians 1:4-6 (NIV) In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
25. last, but not least John 14:6 (NIV) Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:16-17 (NIV) And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
