God Loves You more than anything you can imagineGail DeHart
This document discusses how much God loves each person. It says God loves unconditionally and wants the best for everyone. It lists seven ways God loves: with an atoning love through Jesus' sacrifice; a calling love by bringing people out of darkness; a redeeming love by freeing people from sin's curse; a justifying love by seeing people as righteous through Jesus; an adopting love by making people God's children; a sanctifying love by setting people apart for God; and a glorifying love by completing the good work started in people. The document encourages reading these Bible verses about God's love and internalizing how much God loves unconditionally. It says experiencing this love can prevent falling and help find solutions when facing problems
To secure your place in Heaven, all you have to do is believe! God's grace plus your faith plus nothing! Once saved, always saved! Jesus knows you're not perfect and never will be—and He loves you just the same!
True love waits because it is patient, unconditional, and selfless. It can only be expressed by tapping into God's love. While waiting can be difficult, it avoids personal costs like interrupted education, lost friends, disease, and broken families. However, for those who have already sinned sexually, there is still forgiveness through prayer and repentance.
This document discusses true love and purity. It provides biblical definitions of love, explaining that true love is patient, kind, and protects others. It encourages expressing love for God by offering one's body to Him and waiting until marriage for sex. It notes several consequences of premarital sex like loss of wholeness and increased tolerance to sin. It provides ten reasons to wait for marriage, such as protecting one's testimony and avoiding guilt. Finally, it discusses risks of STDs and unwanted pregnancy from premarital sex.
This document discusses the order of sin, confession, and forgiveness. It argues that confession does not need to come before forgiveness for Christians, as Jesus already paid for all sins. It explores two passages commonly used to suggest confession is needed for forgiveness, and explains they were written for different contexts under the Old Covenant. The document aims to clear up confusion on this topic by examining the context and meaning of key verses like 1 John 1:9, showing Christians are already fully forgiven and confession instead aids their transformation.
This document is a leader's guide for discussing a story about a Jewish girl named Sarah who comes to faith in Jesus. The guide contains discussion questions about Sarah's journey from not believing in Jesus to believing, and how she found faith, transforming power, and help during difficult times through her relationship with God. It encourages seeking God with all one's heart and praying to him during times of confusion, fear, depression or lack of purpose.
Jesus teaches his followers to "love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." True biblical love is a commitment of the will, not an emotion, shown by God sacrificially loving and dying for sinners. As Christians, we must learn to follow this difficult teaching by forgiving those who harm us and praying for their good, even if initially difficult. Jesus' own example on the cross in forgiving his persecutors and the martyr Stephen show us how to fulfill this commandment to have no enemies through complete forgiveness.

LDS YW Lesson #36: The Importance of Truth in Living a Virtuous LIfeDeborah Andrus
Studying, thinking, praying and doing allows us to learn eternal truth. President Joseph F. Smith learned truth line upon line through diligent study, thought, prayer and obedience. Ann learned the truth about her relationship through prayer, though it was difficult, and following truth freed her. Living according to truth leads to freedom and joy, while living a lie imprisons one. Truth is eternal.
When life gets difficult and everything seems to fall apart, focus on Jesus and his love, power, and blessings. Thanking God for the good things in life, even during hard times, will help negative feelings fade away. As one finds things to praise God for, it often leads to remembering other blessings, and His promised peace will be found by focusing on the positive aspects of life and on Him.
The document discusses the differences between earthly wisdom and Jesus' wisdom according to the book of James. Earthly wisdom is characterized by jealousy, selfish ambition, disorder and evil. It comes from earthly, unspiritual and demonic sources. In contrast, Jesus' wisdom is pure, peace-loving, gentle, merciful, impartial and fruitful. It comes from God through the Holy Spirit. True wisdom impacts not just knowledge but one's character and deeds. Believers are called to live according to Jesus' wisdom in all aspects of life.

The story of Alfredo Manuel is presented, a man with an education degree who was unable to become a teacher and now works as a scavenger, as an example of wisdom and righteousness.
This document discusses how to show love to others according to the Bible. It says we should love one another as God loves us. We can show love through support, help, friendship, prayer, teaching, spending time together, and fellowship. We should not keep records of others' wrongs, as that can lead to unforgiveness and resentment. When reading the Bible, we should pray to the Holy Spirit to help us understand and learn. We should accept Jesus as our savior and lord, and remember his crucifixion to save us from our sins.
This document discusses the Beatitudes and how they reveal the mystery of true happiness according to Jesus. It explains that the Beatitudes are Jesus' way of life and show us that having possessions cannot make us perfectly happy. True happiness comes from living like Jesus by being poor in spirit, mourning with those who mourn, and being meek. The Beatitudes teach us to find fulfillment in God rather than material things.

This document contains testimonials from two individuals about their journeys from darkness to finding light in Christ. The first testimony describes a life full of selfishness, sex, drugs and putting things before family, until hitting rock bottom from a divorce and struggling business. This led to finding God's word and promises, which drew the individual to Christ. Christ gave peace, purpose and overcoming what they once were. Now the Holy Spirit guides them to help others.
The second testimony describes a life centered around selfish desires and staying drunk/high to cope. Through treatment and accepting Christ, the individual realized they were believing lies that kept them in bondage. Reading the Bible transformed their thoughts and God began changing them. Now Christ
1. The passage discusses the importance of confessing sins in order to have intimacy with God and fellowship with others. It states that we cannot claim to have a relationship with God if we are living in spiritual darkness and not dealing with our sin.
2. Forgiveness frees us from the penalty of sin through justification by God, while cleansing is the restoration of our relationship with God through the ongoing process of holiness. We must confess our specific sins to be cleansed and experience the kind of sorrow that leads to repentance and salvation.
3. The passage encourages meditating on and applying the need to confess sins to the Holy Spirit in order to experience intimacy with God and not perish. It emphasizes being sensitive
The document discusses the concept of forgiveness through several biblical passages. It emphasizes that Christians should forgive others as God forgives us through Christ. Forgiving others who have wronged us allows us to inherit God's forgiveness, just as God erased our sins and debts. Small group settings can help people learn to forgive from examples in the Bible where Jesus forgave others, even while dying on the cross. In conclusion, if God can forgive us, then as Christians we should be able to forgive others as well.
The document discusses the importance of forgiveness based on biblical teachings. It explains that Jesus was willing to forgive even those who crucified him, and that believers should seek to have forgiveness in their hearts like Jesus. It also discusses how forgiveness is necessary to receive God's forgiveness, and how Jesus and his sacrifice provide the basis for forgiveness and salvation. The document uses the parable of the prodigal son to illustrate lessons about pride, envy, patience, and reconciliation, and encourages readers to be willing to forgive others as God and Jesus forgive.

Build up your faith in God so that you can make it through any hardships, tests or trials with ease. Why spend time in the darkness of worries, fears and doubts when we have God?
1) Love originates from God, who sent his son Jesus to save the world out of love.
2) We can only achieve love by knowing God and being born of him. Love involves helping others through sacrifice, forgiveness, and denying oneself.
3) Loving God and others with actions, not just words, is important. Following God's commandments is evidence of truly loving him. Supreme love for God and others is the best gift from our heavenly Father.

The document discusses sin and holiness based on 1 John 1:5-2:2. It outlines three claims of holiness that are false, and three correct attitudes. The false claims are that we have fellowship with God while walking in darkness, that we bear no guilt of sin, and that we have not sinned. The correct attitudes are to walk in the light as God is in the light, confess our sins, and realize we are obligated to keep God's law, with Jesus as our advocate when we sin.
This document discusses distortions of God's love and justice. It addresses the idea that God is only loving and would never send people to Hell, as well as the idea that God is never forgiving. The document seeks to show that God is both loving and just. His love is demonstrated through sending Jesus to die for sins, satisfying both God's love and requirement of justice. While sin angers God, he is willing to forgive through Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. The document aims to resolve misunderstandings of God's character through biblical examination of his love, holiness, righteousness, and forgiveness.
This document contains a collection of "one another" passages from the Bible intended to guide how Christians should treat each other. It discusses that Jesus had different relationships with different disciples, and that God relates to people personally based on their unique gifts and relationship with Him. As such, Christians should love each other in personalized ways according to how God is loving each person, with the goal of transformation rather than superficial affection. The document analyzes the context and meaning behind many "one another" passages, emphasizing that they aim to have Christ present among His followers and require speaking truth in love, transparency, and good deeds, not just thoughts. Christians are called to specifically love and serve their close friends and family through these directives from God.

This document discusses the importance of forgiveness and how unforgiveness can lead to bitterness, condemnation, disease, and prevent us from experiencing God's blessings and abundant life. Staying unforgiving keeps us stuck, while choosing to forgive through God's strength allows us to experience his love and the power of Jesus in our lives.

This document discusses breaking out of "survival mode" and daring to believe in a better life, as exemplified by the story of the man at the pool of Bethesda in John 5:1-8. It encourages the reader to stop making excuses, focus on God's promises in the Bible instead of their current difficulties, and claim God's provision through speaking it out loud based on verses like Mark 11:22-25 and Romans 4:12. The goal is to bring "heaven to earth" by binding and loosing what is and isn't accepted in heaven, as Jesus showed us how to do.

This document discusses the importance of being single-minded for God. It provides several lessons on how to cultivate single-mindedness, including having a clear vision for how Jesus fits in one's life, persevering through challenges, detaching from desires and plans and instead seeking God's will, and finding consolation only in God. The overall message is that we must dedicate ourselves fully to serving God without reservation in order to be truly single-minded for Him.
This document discusses light vs darkness in 1 John 1:5-10 and addresses the philosophy of panentheism. It analyzes analogies used in the passage comparing God to light and sin to darkness. It explains that while we are all sinners, Jesus' blood cleanses us from sin if we confess our sins. Bad philosophies like panentheism that equate God with creation are addressed, showing we must worship the Creator alone.
1) The passage discusses John's experience with Jesus and the importance of love and fellowship. It emphasizes that God is light and being in fellowship with him means walking in the light.
2) It notes that if we claim to have fellowship with God while walking in darkness, we are lying. But walking in the light, as God is light, means having fellowship with others and being cleansed by Jesus' blood from sin.
3) It addresses those who claim to have no sin or to not have sinned at all, saying this makes God a liar. It emphasizes God's faithfulness in forgiving our sins if we confess them.
The document contains passages from 1 John chapters 1 and 2. It discusses several key themes: John and his fellow apostles witnessed and testify about the life and teachings of Jesus; walking in darkness or light impacts fellowship with God and others; claiming to be without sin is self-deception; and confessing sins results in forgiveness and purification by God. The overall message is that God offers assurance of forgiveness through Jesus' atoning sacrifice for sins, in order to facilitate fellowship with both God and other believers.

This document provides guidance on discerning whether impressions are from God or other sources. It outlines 7 tests one can apply to impressions, beginning with whether the impression agrees with scripture and makes one more like Christ. Other tests include checking if the impression is confirmed by other believers, is consistent with how God works, concerns eternal rather than temporal matters, brings conviction rather than condemnation, and causes a sense of peace. Examples are given of impressions that would fail these tests, such as encouraging illegal or unethical acts. The overall message is that applying biblical criteria can help one discern if an impression truly comes from God or something else.

Lucid Dreaming: Understanding the Risks and Benefits
The ability to control one's dreams or for the dreamer to be aware that he or she is dreaming. This process, called lucid dreaming, has some potential risks as well as many fascinating benefits. However, many people are hesitant to try it initially for fear of the potential dangers. This article aims to clarify these concerns by exploring both the risks and benefits of lucid dreaming.
The Benefits of Lucid Dreaming
Lucid dreaming allows a person to take control of their dream world, helping them overcome their fears and eliminate nightmares. This technique is particularly useful for mental health. By taking control of their dreams, individuals can face challenging scenarios in a controlled environment, which can help reduce anxiety and increase self-confidence.
Addressing Common Concerns
Physical Harm in Dreams Lucid dreaming is fundamentally safe. In a lucid dream, everything is a creation of your mind. Therefore, nothing in the dream can physically harm you. Despite the vividness and realness of the dream experience, it remains entirely within your mental landscape, posing no physical danger.
Mental Health Risks Concerns about developing PTSD or other mental illnesses from lucid dreaming are unfounded. As soon as you wake up, it's clear that the events experienced in the dream were not real. On the contrary, lucid dreaming is often seen as a therapeutic tool for conditions like PTSD, as it allows individuals to reframe and manage their thoughts.
Potential Risks of Lucid Dreaming
While generally safe, lucid dreaming does come with a few risks as well:
Mixing Dream Memories with Reality Long-term lucid dreamers might occasionally confuse dream memories with real ones, creating false memories. This issue is rare and preventable by maintaining a dream journal and avoiding lucid dreaming about real-life people or places too frequently.
Escapism Using lucid dreaming to escape reality can be problematic if it interferes with your daily life. While it is sometimes beneficial to escape and relieve the stress of reality, relying on lucid dreaming for happiness can hinder personal growth and productivity.
Feeling Tired After Lucid Dreaming Some people report feeling tired after lucid dreaming. This tiredness is not due to the dreams themselves but often results from not getting enough sleep or using techniques that disrupt sleep patterns. Taking breaks and ensuring adequate sleep can prevent this.
Mental Exhaustion Lucid dreaming can be mentally taxing if practiced excessively without breaks. It’s important to balance lucid dreaming with regular sleep to avoid mental fatigue.
Lucid dreaming is safe and beneficial if done with caution. It has many benefits, such as overcoming fear and improving mental health, and minimal risks. There are many resources and tutorials available for those interested in trying it.

Astronism, Cosmism and Cosmodeism: the space religions espousing the doctrine...Cometan
This lecture created by Brandon Taylorian (aka Cometan) specially for the CESNUR Conference held Bordeaux in June 2024 provides a brief introduction to the legacy of religious and philosophical thought that Astronism emerges from, namely the discourse on transcension started assuredly by the Cosmists in Russia in the mid-to-late nineteenth century and then carried on and developed by Mordecai Nessyahu in Cosmodeism in the twentieth century. Cometan also then provides some detail on his story in founding Astronism in the early twenty-first century from 2013 along with details on the central Astronist doctrine of transcension. Finally, the lecture concludes with some contributions made by space religions and space philosophy and their influences on various cultural facets in art, literature and film.
Lição 12: João 15 a 17 – O Espírito Santo e a Oração Sacerdotal | 2° Trimestr...OmarBarrezueta1

2. 1 John 1:1-4 John starts off by telling you that he will share what he has seen, heard and even touched. He wants to assure you that what he says is true and that it really happened. In verses 3 and 4 he also gives two reason why he is writing this.
3. 1st Reason In verse 3 it says “so that you also may have fellowship with us” Fellowship is a very important concept for Christians. Sharing the truth brings fellowship. A group of people getting together talking about God. It opens up your heart, you learn and grow, everyone can pray and help one another. Your relationship with God can only grow. If you have a small study group you can go to it is a great place for fellowship. To have fellowship you need to have a common view. If you do not believe in God or Jesus or that he died for your sins you can not have true fellowship.
4. 2nd Reason In verse 4 it says "we are writing this that our joy may be complete.“ This verse adds to the previous one. It brings them joy to share the good news. It brings them joy to have fellowship with you. We get joy by talking and sharing with other people. We were not suppose to be alone and bottled up. It is for that reason why Eve was created. He wants us to come together and share the word with one another.
5. 1 John 1:5 This is one of my favorite verses in this book. “God is light; in him there is no darkness at all” God is a lot of things ,but he is not evil, he does not sin and he loves everyone and everything. He is holly and true and there is no darkness or evil in him.
6. 1 John 1:6-7 In the next two verse he talks about walking in the light. I seen in recent study groups that people do not understand what it means to walk in the light. So I am going to break it down verse by verse and try to explain it if you still need help understanding please send me a email so I can try to explain it better.
7. 1 John 1:6-7 “If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth.” From what I seen people think this means if you sin you can not have a relationship with God. This is not true cause even in the next couple verses it says that we deceive ourselves if we say we are not with out sin. When you say you love God and you trust him ,but still sin and are not affected by it that is walking in darkness. You say you accepted Jesus as your savior ,but you still sin and do not feel guilty, you still do everything like you all ways did their was no change. This is walking in the dark. Just about any one will tell you that when they put their full trust and love in the Lord they went through a change. A good example is people with bumper stickers on a car. They say they believe ,but they do not pray, go to church, ask for forgiveness, help others or anything else. They say they have fellowship ,but they still walk in the darkness.
8. 1 John 1:6-7 “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.“ If we truly believe in God and we realize and confess are sin we can have fellowship with one another. We have the blood of Jesus to heal and rescue us from our sin. If we think Jesus is not real or if he is not the son of God then how can his blood that you do not believe in heal you. If you cheat, steal, lie and not even care that you are doing it; then how can you say you are in the light. When you believe you can start sharing and growing with one another.
9. 1 John 1:8 “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us” To me this is a very important verse. As we all know we are all sinners. If you do not think you sin then what is the point of a savior. If you think you are sinless then what was the point of Jesus? If you can not admit that you sin then there is no room for you grow and heal. Just like in life if you have a problem ,but do not admit it then you can not solve it, it will just sit their and get worse.
10. 1 John 1:9-10 Verse 9 is a excellent example of how much love God has. If we confess our sin and ask for help he will forgive us. He will even purify us to make us clean again. It is like a child stealing a cookie out of the cookie jar. Your mom knows you did it ,but she does not say anything. You feel guilty and just want to get it out to feel good again. So you tell your mother and she forgives you and hugs you and tells you it is all right to make you feel better. If you do not believe you sin then you do not have fellowship with God and you do have that relationship with him.
11. Last Thoughts 1 John only gets better as it goes on. Even from the start it gets straight to the point. This first chapter is very important cause it shows us how we know if we have a real relationship with God. If we walk in the light and confess our sin then he will love and forgive us. As the blood of Jesus cleans and purifies us. This helps a lot against false teachings that we will be looking at later in the chapters. Just remember everyone sins ,but just cause you sin does not mean God does not like you . If you truly believe in God and walk in the light then his love and mercy will all ways be on you.

And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4We write this to make ourjoy complete.”
