Editor's Notes
This is the Cisco Networking Academy portfolio.
The Explore courses are provided to introduce learners to the exciting opportunities available in technology. Most of these courses are available as free, self-paced options available on NetAcad.com.. Though academies can also provide these courses directly to their students.
As noted, the primary focus of the Academy is to help students prepare for careers, thus the majority of the portfolio is aligned to Careers.
The Digital Essentials courses are critical to help students build breadth independent of the specialization they would like to pursue.
Networking is the flagship of the program. These offerings prepare students to sit for the CCNA and CCNP certification exams and prepare for a career as a networking professional.
Programmable Infrastructure is a newer track and prepares students with software development skills. These courses prepare students for the DevNet Associate certification and careers in
Cybersecurity is the third track and prepares students to build secure networks, monitor the security of networks and when necessary defend the network from attacks. Students are prepared for the CCNA Security and CCNA CyberOps certification exams.
Beyond the courses, a critical pare of the learning experience is the opportunity it provides for Practice. These opportunities include the world-renowned Packet Tracer network simulation tool, gaming exercises within courses, prototyping and virtual labs, and physical equipment labs.
