Background
The MANI Project has
used Community
Scorecards (CSC) as an
engagement and social
accountability tool
through which
community members’
needs (the demand-
side) are articulated
whilst also engaging and
giving voice to supply-
side stakeholders.

Methods
• The intervention targeted 35 health facilities
• CSC repeat cycles done in March 2016 and
March 2017)
• Engaged representatives from local civil society
groups including CHVs, Women Groups, Teen
Mothers’ Groups, and PLHIV support groups
• The CSC consisted of five phases:
• Planning and preparation,
• Conducting the scorecard with the community
• Scorecard with service providers,
• Interface meeting and action planning, A
• Action plan implementation and monitoring

  • 2. 2 Background The MANI Project has used Community Scorecards (CSC) as an engagement and social accountability tool through which community members’ needs (the demand- side) are articulated whilst also engaging and giving voice to supply- side stakeholders.
  • 3. 3 Methods • The intervention targeted 35 health facilities • CSC repeat cycles done in March 2016 and March 2017) • Engaged representatives from local civil society groups including CHVs, Women Groups, Teen Mothers’ Groups, and PLHIV support groups • The CSC consisted of five phases: • Planning and preparation, • Conducting the scorecard with the community • Scorecard with service providers, • Interface meeting and action planning, A • Action plan implementation and monitoring
