I am writing this letter to respectfully recommend to your company Ms. Monica M. Berenguel,
a licensed Chemist from the Institute of Chemistry, University of the Philippines Diliman,
Quezon City, Philippines.
Ms. Berenguel has been my student in Organic Chemistry since her undergraduate years. After
passing the board exam in 2012, she has since worked as a University Research Associate while
pursuing her degree in MS Chemistry. Currently, she is on her 4th year into the program here at
the Institute of Chemistry.
As a Research Associate in my organic synthesis research laboratory, Ms. Berenguel had
undergone NMR Spectrophotometer training and has the actual experience in analytical
chemistry, including sample preparation and analysis of compounds. Furthermore, she has
extensive experience on organic synthesis as well as operational knowledge on gel permeation
chromatography, atomic force microscopy, dynamic light scattering, FT-IR, UV-Vis
spectrophotometer and potentiostat.
Although the institute has offered her many job opportunities to follow her Master's Degree,
she has determined to face higher challenges and stronger competitions internationally. I
believe that with your better facilities she will progress her knowledge and practices in
Chemistry into a professional level. I have strong confidence that Ms. Berenguel will be one of
the most promising scientists in your organization and I am sure that she will succeed in the
