I designed this chair as an assignment for my Furniture and Fittings class during my college. I named it Poppy Chair because a poppy flower was my inspiration. The chair does not exist but I wish it would. Maybe one day someone will discover it...
Series of modular elements composed of straight and curved seats, open and close end poufs and large poufs with connecting elements in 3 or 4 directions in order to create very articulated and innovative seats. Its flexibility permits small interior solutions to fit rooms with small dimensions. The unique characteristic of this model is created by using different chromatic solutions achieving contrasting colours between seats and backs.
Framework in tubular metal with anodised aluminium supports. The original forms of the seats and backrests are created by multilayered plywood with padding in soft moulded Rofoam and polyurethane foams in different densities wrapped in a soft Dacron Dupont. Adjustable feet in die casting aluminium with nylon foot supports. Available in an alternative version with chromate supports.
Coverings are created with special cuts and stitching techniques to fit the natural shape of this model and can be executed in fabrics and leathers from the Rossi di Albizzate collection.

5. In 1958, Dr. Roger Bacon, American physicist,
created the first high performance carbon fiber
fabric out of graphite filaments. The industrials
quickly understood the potential of that discovery
and heavily invested in further research. 1969 saw
the first industrial production of carbon fiber. The
name carbon fiber comes from the fact that just
like fabric fiber it is made of thin wires, braided
together to form a mesh.
This important invention is destined to
revolutionize various industries: sport, navigation,
automotive, aeronautics and aerospace. The
material is resistant, but also light and flexible,
which is why it was used for building the entire
structure of the Boeing 787.
Imagine the rims of the wheels of a car made
of carbon fiber, weighing 5 kg less than similar
aluminum ones.
Carbon fiber is also conquering space and
becomes a building material for the heat shields
of the Space Shuttle facing extreme temperature
ranges,andsettoresistincomparablemechanical
stresses.
Carbon fiber is a major player in the evolution of
the Formula 1 cars as well as the America’s Cup
boats, cutting through the waves of the Atlantic
with sails 5 times stronger than the steel ones.
Carbon fiber really fears nothing!
It is impossible to resist the charm of a material
so versatile, living up to unmatched performance.
The secret lies in the mastery of its potential.
Carbon Fiber
An exclusive collection of carbon fiber furniture by
Mast Elements.
Revolutionary furniture, objects never designed in
this unique material are now entering our day-to-
day lives.
Mast Elements’ collection includes chairs,
armchairs, tables, sofas, bookcases ... elements
of the highest quality with timeless design,
articles of exceptional elegance that are true
pieces of art.
Carbon fiber is airy, perfectly and playfully
reflecting light, eternal and remarkably strong.
Those characteristics are reflected in the most
exclusive objects.
Pure or combined with high quality materials
such as steel and wood, your valuable objects
become virtually indestructible and eternal.
The strength and lightness of carbon fiber allows
our designers to experiment with shapes and
loads that have never been tested before. They do
that with the same passion and precision of the
designers of aerodynamic and high performance
components of Formula 1 cars or even advanced
airline concepts such as the fuselages of Boeing.
MastElements’collectionoffersatotalaesthetical

unique in its sector. Creating and offering its

material, space and light, between highly
advanced design and construction features of
exceptional resilience.
