4. Facts and Figures
Smart Medicine demands meticulous attention to numbers and measurements.
Just as we continually look to metrics to gauge the well-being of our patients, we
also rely on them to chart our own progress. From our expanding faculty to the
success of our R&D efforts, this year’s numbers tell a particularly exciting story.

6. What Is It?
“Oracle’s PeopleSoft eSupplier Connection is an external-facing application that makes
strategic information from back-end ERP systems available in real time to Suppliers. It
enables you to improve business collaboration, Supplier response, and employee
productivity by allowing Suppliers to answer their own questions. You can collaborate
with Suppliers to share the same view of data using a web-enabled interface so both
Buyers and Suppliers can make faster and more accurate decisions with minimal
effort.” – Oracle.com
7. What are the Benefits?
eSupplier Connection is a portal that enables us to give Suppliers self-service access to
critical information, as well as the ability to share information to reduce manual
turnaround time associated with emails, phone calls, and fax communications. For
example we could share:
• Purchase Order information
• Business and taxpayer information
• Payment Schedules
• Invoice status
• Account Balances
8. Subtle Difference between the two
eSettlements
Used for: Individual/Sole Proprietors, Single Member LLC’s
eSupplier
Used for: Corporations (C, S), LLC’s, Estate/Trusts, Partnerships
9. 3 Differences
1. Maintain Information
2. Inquire on invoices/payments
3. Creating self-service invoices (eSettlements only)
• By copying the line of the PO – that’s the only way they can submit invoices
10. Implementation
Soft go-live with trusted vendors:
• 10 eSupplier Vendors
• 10 eSettlement Vendors
Our criteria to decide which vendors to pick for the Soft go-live
was based upon volume of calls/tickets opened with our Finance
Service Center
11. Lessons Learned
• Network security
• Helped reduce Finance Service Center tickets
• Efficiencies with Purchasing – suppliers are able to acknowledge orders
and correct details, reducing match exceptions
• Automation with Accounts Payable – instead of sending invoices to
DigiScribe suppliers are able to submit invoices via EDI
• Addresses – only let them view addresses, not change as it affects 1099
