Most LTB’s are currently stored in factory sealed dry-packs,
flushed with nitrogen and vacuum packed with silica.
Dry cabinets or other similar solution to keep components dry.
Moisture barrier bags packed according to the Jedec standard
only guarantee 1-2 years.
NO protection against pollution and outgassing.
Dry storage for 5+ years can damage plastic, nylon, and other
materials that should not be kept dry.
Dry storage can enhance the risk of static discharge and will
damage flash memory…

enormous surface area that are chemically and permanently
bonded to a plastic structure. The particles react readily with
elements (Corrosive Gases) that are present in the atmosphere and
create or promote corrosion.
• INTERCEPT Technology® permanently ties and reacts with corrosive
gases creating a neutralized atmosphere which protects all
materials inside against corrosion and aging. Moisture that
migrated through the packaging material will be liberated from
