Guru Nanak College held a rangoli competition and rakhi-making event, with strong student participation and various winners announced from both junior and degree colleges. A debate competition on Indian versus Western culture was also organized, highlighting cultural resistance among youth. Additionally, there were several smartphone releases highlighted, including the Sony Xperia Ion and HTC Desire C, showcasing advancements in technology and features.

1. RANG RANG RANGOLI
Guru Nanak College organized a rangoli competition for aided and un-
aided sections of their degree college. The theme for the competition
was open.
Students from both the sections participated in good numbers. Some 24
students participated for the competition and made designs related to na-
ture floral and social subjects. It was not mandatory for the students to set
the design in particular shape.
The judges for the competition were the professors
from Junior college.The students used dry colours,
sawdust, pulses, etc. for making these patterns. All
the students were beautiful at their work. The ran-
goli’s were one better then another. It was very dif-
ficult for the judges to choose the winner. At last the
winner was announced.

RAKHI MAKERS OF GNC:
On 26th july 2012 our cultural committee of
the college has organized a program of rakhi mak-
ing competition. It was held in our college. There
were total 65 participants from junior college and
degree college. As campared to last year this year
there were maximum participants.
Beautiful rakhi’s were made by the participants ex-
pressing their love, care and respect for their
brother. Most beautiful and expressive rakhi’s
were given prizes by the judges. The winners
were as follows.

ADebate competition was organized by the cultural
committee circle on 26th july 2012 Participants were
asked to talk about the western culture and Indian cul-
tute there were two groups Made one of which one team
should take the side of western and the other Indian cul-
ture
Mahesh patra and siddesh kamble of SYBMM won the
competition , it was very tough competition as they had
to stand against the western culture ,which is nowadays
considered as a culture of youth said by Mahesh patra
,it wouldn’t be wrong to say that we Indians are beco-
mining resistance towards Our culture and accepting
American culture which would be perhaps observed
during the competition ,its upon the youth of our coun-
try to pass on the legacy of our culture to the next gen-
eration .
