Rahm Emanuel has had a lengthy career in politics, serving as a senior advisor to President Bill Clinton from 1993 to 1998, as a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 2003 to 2009, as White House Chief of Staff to President Barack Obama from 2009 to 2010, and currently as the 55th and incumbent Mayor of Chicago since 2011. He helped manage Bill Clinton's successful 1992 presidential campaign and has played key roles in several other Democratic campaigns over the years.
