EXTRA VIRGIN
OLIVE OIL
ZEOLITE CULTIVATION
NUMBERED BOTTLES
LIMITED PRODUCTION
There was a time without global warming.
When there were no nuclear traces in the soil and the groundwater.
When there was no acid rain.
When pesticides had not even been invented yet.
When trees were not pumped with chemicals to produce more than was
possible.
When farmers watched their trees grow and treated them like their own
children.
When olive oil was not just a dressing for vegetables
and meals but a medicine for stomach and intestinal
diseases, for the bile and the kidney, or used as an
ointment for eczemas or burns, one that would
protect a newborn baby from infections, cure
gingivitis and whiten the teeth; it could be used for
ear infections in the form of drops, as a moisturizer
for the skin, or as a hair shining product, and in
many more cases, according to descriptions from
Homer and Hippocrates and even other modern
scholars.
But today we know. We know so
much more about olive oil than they
did, but unfortunately we no longer
have access to the quality of olive oil
that they had.
KOLOKOTRONIS OLIVE GROVES
have focused for about 8 years on the
production of olive oil through a
complex type of cultivation, mainly
organic, but also enriched with the
extensive use of Zeolite and active
microorganisms, which produces olive
oil with the same properties as the one
in the past.
However what they did not know
back then is that olive oil contains in
high concentration antioxidants that
can prevent free radicals, thus
avoiding the cellular aging. They did
not know that it has strong anti-
cancer properties, that it prevents
cardiovascular disease, that it has a
regulatory effect on diabetes and
hypertension, that is contributes to
the proper development of children’s
cardiovascular and nervous system,
just as they were not aware of all its
other properties, as mentioned in
modern international bibliography.
Zeolite
Olive Oil from a family with a long tradition in the field
Kolokotronis family whose history starts in 1470, is one of the
historical families in the Greek history. The members of the family, for
hundreds of years, apart from their main profession, dealt with the
cultivation of olive trees to produce olive oil for personal-family use.
His professional involvement with
health field in combination with his
ecological sensitivity made him find
ways so as to produce olive oil
equivalent to that of his ancestors.
Therefore, the intensive farming
method of the olive trees was
abandoned and a methodology similar
to that of the old times was applied,
when all foods, not just olive oil, were
actually virgin, not just named “virgin”
In 2005 a large part of the family olive grove was acquired by doctor
Ilias Kolokotronis.
by the international food marketing system that allows the use of
pesticides, fertilizers which destroy the soil’s organic matter as well as
drillings contaminated with heavy metals, mixing with other olive oils,
crops with high-density planting, to increase production and many
more that negatively affect the quality.
Dr. Ilias Kolokotronis
Biodynamic Farming & the establishment of the Family Business.
In the biodynamic farming which we apply, we make extensive use of
zeolite and active microorganisms to restore the environment of our olive
groves in pre-industrial conditions. A farming model that leaves far
behind organic farming, as defined by international law, which again is
oriented in mass-produced foods.
Since 2005 when we started this process, we made sure the amount of the
produced olive oil to continuously decrease and the quality to increase,
along with dozens of biochemical analyses. The analyses of 2013 finally
showed an olive oil, which besides its aroma and taste, normally should
be classified as medicine. What we managed was the recommended daily
dose (20 ml) to contain enough antioxidants so that the olive oil could
keep its “promise”, for longevity and protection from many diseases.
Since then we stabilized the cultivation and production model and in
early 2014 Dr. Ilias Kolokotronis along with his medical profession, with
his two sons Stavros Kolokotronis and Nikolaos Kolokotronis founded
the sole proprietorship “ELEONES KOLOKOTRONI”
Olive Oil from the Past in a Cultivation from the Future
Zeolite Cultivation Benefits
The olive tree does not produce
fruit so that we can obtain olive oil.
It does so in order to continue and
multiply the species, as does every
living organism. Therefore, the
tree ensures that its own precious
substances protect the fruit from
diseases, insect infestation,
drought, frost - as it has been doing
for thousands of years without the
assistance of pesticides, fertilizers
etc, provided that there is a healthy environment for growth, with
soil, water and air that is free from pollutants.
At KOLOKOTRONIS OLIVE GROVES, we have invested in new
technologies and equipment for the improvement of the olive tree's
environment, allowing the tree to function according to its own
biological rhythms and laws, without human intervention. Hence, the
tree rewards us with fruit that, although limited in quantity, retains a
quality that harks back to a different time - a time when crops were not
affected by a polluted environment.
With the zeolite which is a mineral rock, neutralize the harmful
substances found in soil that can absorb the olive tree, and ultimately
exacerbate the quality of the olive oil. (Pesticides, industrial
pollutants, radioactive heavy metals, acid rain products) balancing the
nutrients ingested the tree, as well as balancing the moisture in the
soil.
Zeolite Cultivation Benefits (cont.)
One can notice the zeolite
powder that covers the olive.
Zeolite absorbs all the harmful
substances that are transferred
through the air onto the fruit
(pesticides-herbicides from
neighboring fields) and protects
it from insect invasions. It also
protects the olive from the high
temperatures during the summer
months that can reach up to 40-
42 ° C. Finally, it provides the
fruit with the necessary humidity
to avoid dehydration during the
dry season. All the above result
in the balanced ripening of the
olive in accordance with the
biorhythms of the tree.
Microorganisms & Compost
With the microorganisms we protect the trees from diseases without
any use of pesticides. The active microorganisms are completely
friendly and harmless to humans and they are cutting-edge
technology in organic farming worldwide
By using compost (organic fertilizer), firstly, we accomplish ideal
nutrition for the trees and secondly, keep soil alive. Because alive
and healthy soil is the most important link in the food chain.
We do not intervene at
all with the ecosystem
that surrounds our trees.
Here you can see the
natural vegetation visited
by wild bees. This
ecosystem is necessary
for the natural protection
of the olive tree from
various plant diseases.
Natural nitrogenous
fertilizing of the
field by a flock of
sheep.
The department of zeolite cultivation of the Kolokotronis Olive
Groves produces 5,000-8,000kg of zeolithic organic olive oil
annually, which is stored in nitrogen blanketed tanks, property of the
Kolokotronis Olive Groves, in a temperature of 17-27°C. The
produced quantity is published in our official webpage at the end of
the olive oil crop year. The olive oil is bottled with equipment
exclusively used by the Kolokotronis Olive Groves, in order to avoid
having our olive oil come in contact with other olive oils through the
piping of the machines, in numbered 500ml glass bottles of excellent
design.
OLIVE OIL CHARACTERISTICS
• Our olive oil characteristics vary from year to year (due to
weather conditions) but certainly within the limits of extra virgin
olive oil.
• Usually acidity ranges between 0.28% and 0.48% .
• Each lot is accompanied by pharmacological analysis to ensure
the complete absence of pesticides.
The European Commission on 03.24.2014 and under revision of
Reg. EC 834/2007
Biological Products, introduced among other things, the proposed
text for adoption, establishing low ceilings residues (MRLs) for
Pesticides Organic Products.
The levels of MRLs, will approach the "detection limit" of 0,01mg /
Kg (ppm), as currently applicable to baby foods.
The levels of MRLs of our olive oil is even better than the ¨detection
limit¨ of baby food <0,01 mg/Kg(ppm) The reason is obvious, we
do not use pesticides. (Neither of those permitted to organic
farming.)
In March 2015 we launched the product in the European market. We
were surprised by the market's thirst for very high quality products
and cooperation proposals exceeded all expectations for a newcomer
product.
Because, as it seems, the
quantity cannot meet the
demand already created,
“ELEONES KOLOKOTRONI”
proceed in the purchase of new
groves in order to include them
in “Kolokotronis system”.
Exhibition HORECA Ghent, Belgium
On November 9 – 15 2015, Eleones Kolokotroni were participating in the
Exhibition of HORECA at Belgium in Ghent.
We also make
stands for the
placement of our
products. The stand
is made from
natural olive
branches 90-110
years old. The
stand is made by
order in the
dimensions you
wish.

  • 5. Olive Oil from a family with a long tradition in the field Kolokotronis family whose history starts in 1470, is one of the historical families in the Greek history. The members of the family, for hundreds of years, apart from their main profession, dealt with the cultivation of olive trees to produce olive oil for personal-family use. His professional involvement with health field in combination with his ecological sensitivity made him find ways so as to produce olive oil equivalent to that of his ancestors. Therefore, the intensive farming method of the olive trees was abandoned and a methodology similar to that of the old times was applied, when all foods, not just olive oil, were actually virgin, not just named “virgin” In 2005 a large part of the family olive grove was acquired by doctor Ilias Kolokotronis. by the international food marketing system that allows the use of pesticides, fertilizers which destroy the soil’s organic matter as well as drillings contaminated with heavy metals, mixing with other olive oils, crops with high-density planting, to increase production and many more that negatively affect the quality. Dr. Ilias Kolokotronis
  • 6. Biodynamic Farming & the establishment of the Family Business. In the biodynamic farming which we apply, we make extensive use of zeolite and active microorganisms to restore the environment of our olive groves in pre-industrial conditions. A farming model that leaves far behind organic farming, as defined by international law, which again is oriented in mass-produced foods. Since 2005 when we started this process, we made sure the amount of the produced olive oil to continuously decrease and the quality to increase, along with dozens of biochemical analyses. The analyses of 2013 finally showed an olive oil, which besides its aroma and taste, normally should be classified as medicine. What we managed was the recommended daily dose (20 ml) to contain enough antioxidants so that the olive oil could keep its “promise”, for longevity and protection from many diseases. Since then we stabilized the cultivation and production model and in early 2014 Dr. Ilias Kolokotronis along with his medical profession, with his two sons Stavros Kolokotronis and Nikolaos Kolokotronis founded the sole proprietorship “ELEONES KOLOKOTRONI”
  • 7. Olive Oil from the Past in a Cultivation from the Future Zeolite Cultivation Benefits The olive tree does not produce fruit so that we can obtain olive oil. It does so in order to continue and multiply the species, as does every living organism. Therefore, the tree ensures that its own precious substances protect the fruit from diseases, insect infestation, drought, frost - as it has been doing for thousands of years without the assistance of pesticides, fertilizers etc, provided that there is a healthy environment for growth, with soil, water and air that is free from pollutants.
  • 8. At KOLOKOTRONIS OLIVE GROVES, we have invested in new technologies and equipment for the improvement of the olive tree's environment, allowing the tree to function according to its own biological rhythms and laws, without human intervention. Hence, the tree rewards us with fruit that, although limited in quantity, retains a quality that harks back to a different time - a time when crops were not affected by a polluted environment. With the zeolite which is a mineral rock, neutralize the harmful substances found in soil that can absorb the olive tree, and ultimately exacerbate the quality of the olive oil. (Pesticides, industrial pollutants, radioactive heavy metals, acid rain products) balancing the nutrients ingested the tree, as well as balancing the moisture in the soil. Zeolite Cultivation Benefits (cont.) One can notice the zeolite powder that covers the olive. Zeolite absorbs all the harmful substances that are transferred through the air onto the fruit (pesticides-herbicides from neighboring fields) and protects it from insect invasions. It also protects the olive from the high temperatures during the summer months that can reach up to 40- 42 ° C. Finally, it provides the fruit with the necessary humidity to avoid dehydration during the dry season. All the above result in the balanced ripening of the olive in accordance with the biorhythms of the tree.
  • 9. Microorganisms & Compost With the microorganisms we protect the trees from diseases without any use of pesticides. The active microorganisms are completely friendly and harmless to humans and they are cutting-edge technology in organic farming worldwide By using compost (organic fertilizer), firstly, we accomplish ideal nutrition for the trees and secondly, keep soil alive. Because alive and healthy soil is the most important link in the food chain. We do not intervene at all with the ecosystem that surrounds our trees. Here you can see the natural vegetation visited by wild bees. This ecosystem is necessary for the natural protection of the olive tree from various plant diseases. Natural nitrogenous fertilizing of the field by a flock of sheep.
  • 10. The department of zeolite cultivation of the Kolokotronis Olive Groves produces 5,000-8,000kg of zeolithic organic olive oil annually, which is stored in nitrogen blanketed tanks, property of the Kolokotronis Olive Groves, in a temperature of 17-27°C. The produced quantity is published in our official webpage at the end of the olive oil crop year. The olive oil is bottled with equipment exclusively used by the Kolokotronis Olive Groves, in order to avoid having our olive oil come in contact with other olive oils through the piping of the machines, in numbered 500ml glass bottles of excellent design. OLIVE OIL CHARACTERISTICS • Our olive oil characteristics vary from year to year (due to weather conditions) but certainly within the limits of extra virgin olive oil. • Usually acidity ranges between 0.28% and 0.48% . • Each lot is accompanied by pharmacological analysis to ensure the complete absence of pesticides.
  • 11. The European Commission on 03.24.2014 and under revision of Reg. EC 834/2007 Biological Products, introduced among other things, the proposed text for adoption, establishing low ceilings residues (MRLs) for Pesticides Organic Products. The levels of MRLs, will approach the "detection limit" of 0,01mg / Kg (ppm), as currently applicable to baby foods. The levels of MRLs of our olive oil is even better than the ¨detection limit¨ of baby food <0,01 mg/Kg(ppm) The reason is obvious, we do not use pesticides. (Neither of those permitted to organic farming.)
  • 12. In March 2015 we launched the product in the European market. We were surprised by the market's thirst for very high quality products and cooperation proposals exceeded all expectations for a newcomer product. Because, as it seems, the quantity cannot meet the demand already created, “ELEONES KOLOKOTRONI” proceed in the purchase of new groves in order to include them in “Kolokotronis system”.
