Electricity (from the Greek elektron, meaning ambar) is a physical phenomenon whose origins are the electric charges. In 1831, Faraday discovered how to produce electric current by induction.
On August 6, 1900, the date on which began in Bogotá the provision of electricity service, with the central Bogotá Chaquito on the river with a generating capacity of 350 Kw 98 years have elapsed. Which had not been achieved without the creation of the invention of the century.
Top 5 developments which have contributed to the invention of the century.Hydraulic Turbines.
Top 5The word turbine, turbo comes from the Latin-INEM, meaning rotation or spin anything. The first machine has been used as waterwheels that were tangential. These appear in Alexandria and Egypt in the early Christian era.J.A. 1750 Segnerd Vond developed the first hydraulic turbine based on the hydraulic winch.
Top 41754 Leonard Euler introduces improvements to the hydraulic winch establishing the basic equation for turbo machines.
Top 3Claude Burdine 1824 introduced some proposed by Euler gave the name of turbines.
Top 2Benoit Fourneyron 1827 invented the first hydraulic machine usable later transformed reaction turbine. Water level regulation through various crowns.
Top 1Voith 1873 built the first turbine with Francis Fink guideline system.1880 Lester Allen Pelton developing various types of spoons and add the nozzle.
