- Relevant Marine History We pioneered the field of offshore ventilation and noise control 1953 Eldridge Ventilated Superior Oil Drilling Barge, Zapata’s Scorpion, Vinegarroon, & Maverick I – These were the first marine drilling units built. The majority of all Mobile Offshore Drilling Units have Eldridge designs and equipment.

- How it Works An internal wave plate diverts contaminants and water into a trap bolted into the side of the blower housing. This allows water and contaminants to drain out away from the blower resulting in only clean air passing into the drilling motor.
