The UK-German FLA/ELA Ambassadors programme strengthens the impact of English Language Assistants in Germany through partnerships with German Foreign Language Assistants in the UK, with the goals of strengthening school and youth links between the two countries and enhancing linguistic and cultural understanding through joint projects. English Language Assistants gain leadership, organization, project management and intercultural communication skills through the programme.

Language Assistants in schools in Germany through short-term project partnerships with German
Foreign Language Assistants in the UK.
The programme aims to strengthen UK-German school and youth links and enhance their visibility
through projects which help pupils gain linguistic and cultural understanding.
ELA Ambassadors have acquired a wide range of skills and competencies, including leadership,
organisation, project management and intercultural communication.
UK-German Connection is dedicated to increasing contacts and understanding between young people in the UK and Germany.
It is a bilateral initiative, which has been established and developed in collaboration between the UK and German governments,
British Council and Pädagogischer Austauschdienst.
