ABSTRACT
Using the knowledge we learned in the classroom, making a two story model elevator using Programmable Logic
Controller. To make this project into a reality, we need to do the necessary research as well as seeking advice and insight
from our professors who are very experienced in their respective discipline. Making a two story model elevator is
beneficial for our senior project because it is a good balance of electrical and mechanical engineering. Mechanical
engineers can use their knowledge to design the elevator to its necessary specifications and make a pulley system so the
elevator can move up and down, as well as opening and closing the door. The electrical engineers can program the
elevator using the plc language called ladder logic to make sure the elevator runs properly.
Motivation
The motivation is to use a PLC to demonstrate
how an elevator operates. By using the PLC we
see the detailed work that is design for each
elevator to function.
