While two distributions may have the same mean, their variance and standard deviation can show that they have very different shapes. To calculate variance and standard deviation, you first find the deviation of each value from the mean, square the deviations, and sum them. You then divide the sum by n-1 to get the variance, and take the square root of the variance to find the standard deviation.

My Argenta colleague Alan Drummond and I closed the recent Innovation through Knowledge Transfer conference at the University of Stafford with a facilitated participatory narrative inquiry (PNI) session looking at mapping the narrative landscape of 'Innovation through Knowledge Transfer'
The conference was organised by KES international and the Institute of Knowledge Transfer.
Kindoma - Aging 2.0 - 2013.01.22
Families are struggling to stay connected as distances increase. Kindoma aims to address this through an online family communication platform that facilitates shared activities and high-quality content to enable co-play and learning remotely. The platform currently offers synchronous storytime and video chat features with book reading, as well as a book messaging feature that allows readers to record books and send them to children with feedback. After launching in private trials, Kindoma seeks to fully launch its platform in May 2013 with content and channel partners, while also recruiting design consultants and identifying publishers and investors.
