Two films, K-12 Students Today and Forbidden, are discussed as relevant tools for teaching history. K-12 Students Today advocates for the use of technology in the classroom, while Forbidden shows examples of generational change but also teaches not to dismiss the past. Students in stage 4 could make short documentaries about historical knowledge learned under teacher direction, portraying learning content as part of the "research" stage of documentary making to interest those who find traditional history lessons boring.
