 Worked under Dr. Oppenheimer with his ongoing research:
In the bloodstream, cancer cells in clumps are more dangerous than single
cancer cells because clumped cancer cells more easily escape destruction.
Also clumped cells can lead to biofilms and infections that are difficult to treat.
So you will use a model system with yeast, not cancer cells or pathogens, to
test if specific reagents can unclump yeast cells, a model for anti-clumping
cancer drugs and anti-biofilm drugs.
