2) Iron fabric
3) Pin pattern onto fabric (following grain line)
4) Cut around pattern, using fabric scissors
5) Cut out notches. Mark any join points in pencil or
with a stitch.

51. • Step one - draw your design on paper and cut out using
paper scissors - for our sample, use a simple shape like
a letter
• Step Two - pin your template to the CORNER or your fet
piece. This prevents waste and means that someone
else can use the same piece of felt
• Step three - Pin your felt shape to the place you would
like it to be on your Calico fabric.
• Step Four - Use running stitch to sew down your shape.
