Edmodo.com is a social networking site similar to
facebook and moodle or webvista
We as teachers are able to create groups for our
students.
Each group can be entire class or a small group for
projects.
3. Posts
Similar to facebook the teacher or students can post a
note to a group, a specific person, and to the entire
class
In this note the students can post a question about
homework to their group
This can also be used by the teacher to send a file or a
link to the entire class
4. Grades/Assignments
Since by law the students
must be able to see their
grades, this can be used as
a gradebook.
As a teacher you are able to
make assignments.
This is similar to the posts
that professors use on
moodle or webvista
5. Polls
Another aspect is that we
can put a poll online to check
the understanding of the
students.

polls and the assignment
Polls aren’t graded.
6. Students
The students can get notifications to their email and
even straight to their phone.
This capability makes it hard for the student to say they
didn’t know they had an assignment.
