Boskalis Offshore was contracted to rectify 799 critical spans on the East Java Gas Pipeline by installing 804 rock berms. They deployed their dynamically positioned fallpipe vessel (DPFV) Seahorse to accurately dump 1-5" rock directly above the live pipeline. Prior to rock dumping, pre-surveys identified the span locations and post-surveys ensured proper berm installation. Through their engineering department, Boskalis provided project support including design, impact assessments, and efficiency planning. The project was completed safely, on schedule, and within budget to the client's satisfaction.
