The European-African Business Development Conference (EABDC) will take place from December 2-5, 2009. - 3. Combining Europe & Africa The EABDC is the first of its kind in connecting businesses in Europe and Africa to one another. Organized by private non-governmental bodies and striving to increase the European private sector awareness of the many commercial opportunities in Africa and vice versa. The major theme of the EABDC 2009 is: “Creating a sustainable relationship between Europe and Africa”
- 4. Objectives Business relationships between Europe and Africa has experienced too many obstacles. However, the mostly untapped opportunities in Africa could result to great revenue potential that businesses between Europe and Africa can generate. The EABDC will present a critical assessment of current trade and investment climate in Africa and address specific policy issues that confront the European private sector in the African market place.

Beneficiaries The EABDC is planned as a real matchmaking event between African and European enterprises and will primarily benefit those enterprises by way of offering an enabling platform for them to create or foster the business partnership relationships among them. Secondly, Africa and Europe will benefit as a whole because of the enlarged and positive audience it will receive based on their business opportunities.
