Jordi lives in the village of Camarles in Baix Ebre, Spain, which has a population of 3,628 inhabitants. Originally called La Granadella, Camarles segregated from Tortosa and took its current name. Though small, Camarles has a rich culture as evidenced by the old watchtower called La Torre that was once used by Muslims to defend the village. The main economic activity is rice harvesting due to the extensive rice fields in the area. Places for entertainment include rural houses like Racó de Peret.
