This document summarizes two upcoming events related to e-books and e-learning: 1) The 2nd Face-to-Face ePUB v3 Working Group Meeting was held in San Francisco from 18-20 October 2010. Key features of the ePUB 3.0 specification were discussed, including scripting, math support, synchronized audio and more. 2) Two upcoming local events in Hong Kong will discuss e-book and e-learning standards and technologies. The first is a seminar on 3 November about Chinese and Hong Kong ICT standards. The second is the Inno Carnival from 6-14 November, where the Applied Science and Technology Research Institute will showcase e-learning activities.
