YESTERDAY IS GONE
By Roxie Lioness
“We've all seen life, the good
and the bad side of it, none of
that matters now because, the
good made you, and the bad
taught you…”
When I was Eight I lost my dad
little did I know I was never
going to see him again. Didn’t
really know what “death”
meant till I grew up and
started to understand that I
had no one to call “Dad” like
the other kids. Then it hit me,
“you know when you feel like
you're alone”, I acknowledge
the family will always have
your back but it wasn't the
same without him.
The journey began, my
mother tried everything she
could to put us through
school, it was never easy
watching her go to South
Africa just so she can provide
for us. All I could see were
relatives passing me back and
forth like I was some ball. Well
it did hurt, believe me but that
was yesterday!
Having a rough childhood
made me a strong lady today.
Life can only be understood
backwards, but it must be
lived forward
It doesn't matter how painful
the past was, life has taught
me never to dwell in the past,
but to focus on the future...
We are products of our past,
but we don't have to be
prisoners of it.
Life has taught me one more
thing, that we most try things
and fail, but it doesn't mean
we losers, but always know
that failure is instructive.
You can fail today but when
you try again tomorrow you
might get lucky as it said that
“Each life is made up of
mistakes and learning, waiting
and growing, practicing
patience and being
persistent”.
Whatever happened
yesterday Definitely taught
you how to handle your
future.
EVERYONE HAS GOTTEN
CAUGHT UP IN THE PAST
AND OVER THINKING THE
FUTURE, YOU SHOULD
ENJOY EACH DAY FOR
WHAT IT IS... FORGET THE
PAST AND LIVE LIKE IT'S
YOUR LAST.
FOR THE FUTURE IS THERE
FOR YOU TO FORGET YOUR
PAST AND REMIND YOU
THAT YESTERDAY IS GONE

e were all tired. Tired of the Rosary, the Novenas and Mass. We were about a
hundred left. I was still devoted to my Catholic faith but at the same time I was
beginning to wonder and question the second coming of Christ. Father Moss always
preached about waiting on the Lord, faith and hope. At least I think that is what he talked about
one of these years. Back in the day he would preach about the second coming of Christ and how
we should be spiritually ready. He stopped 50 years ago when the strange things started
happening. A massive crack stretching several kilometres appeared in Kenya and scientists started
speculating that Africa was breaking into two continents. Geologists concluded that the crack was
empty inside and that chances of it cracking further were slim.
Two years later strange people started coming out of the crack. They were light in complexion
and their pupils were red. The males were very hairy and muscular. They had dark curly hair and
their cheek bones were protruding. Their ears seemed to twitch a little as they listen from afar.
One of the man stood out, he wore a red poncho and carried a silver booklet written Deyble.
The others wore jeans and shirts. He did more of the talking and the others just twitched their
ears. The women had beautiful curvy bodies and long nails, their bottoms looked so big that a
baby could just sit without falling. Their ears did not twitch like the man’s, they seemed to be the
submissive type as they never took part in conversations with men but they talked amongst
themselves. They spoke a little bit of English and sign language. They were friendly. These were
Luciferians, devil worshippers. The IWS (International World Security) ruled them out as harmless
and they joined us.
The world had many religions, Christians split as they were tired of waiting. The Luciferianism was
the last religion people expected. Within a month the congregation had gathered many followers.
I think we were all curious and wanted something new maybe a change.
My friend Toby and I decided to visit the church one Sunday. We were welcomed affectionately
and we were given Deybles. During the service I don’t think I heard anything. The Deyble was

fascinating. It chronicled the birth of Lucifer up to the time he was cast out of heaven and part of
his life on earth before he descended into the Underworld. He told a different story from what I
grew up knowing that he got jealous of God and he wanted to take over. His side of the story
was that, “they were equal and disputed over how earth was to be governed and he lost the
battle”. “Unbelievable!”. I closed the Deyble and nudged Toby. He seemed to be concentrating.
I nudged him again and he looked at me. I signalled him that we must leave. He looked at me
surprised but he sensed the shock and fear in my eyes and we walked out. I was confused and
scared, “what if these people started asking for my blood and sacrifices”. The thought gave me
shivers.
That evening Toby and I received a message from Father Moss inquiring about why we missed
Mass. We never skipped Mass hence Father Toby was so worried. He feared we were now lost
souls. Well… we lied to him.
Nowadays mass took an hour compared to back in the day when it was two hours. Father Moss
was now struggling to deliver sermons. Sometimes we watched a live footage from the Vatican.
The church had a few priests left. Most of them abandoned the seminary. I think they were tired
of waiting too.
I remember it was in 5 November 2020 when we all received phone calls notifying us of an
emergency meeting at St Mary’s Basilica. Arch Bishop Moses Andrews had an important message.
Centuries ago Pope Francis 1 discovered a scroll during his annual Necropolis visits. It was inside
one of St Peter’s chest which had never been opened. The scroll talked about the last days before
the second coming of Christ. It stated how humans were going to relax and the incorporation of
the Devil worshippers into society. The scroll talked about the wars and the rise of prophets
performing miracles and how people were going to stop tithing and offer to these prophets
instead. Arch Bishop’s face fell; he broke into sobs and told us that the last part of the scroll was
un-readable. It had been destroyed by moisture and termites in the burial site. The church had
spent all these years trying to figure out what the Saint’s last advice to the church was but all in
vain. “We do not know what to do my children; we don’t know what will happen to Christianity.
There is too much religious politics messing with our lives and spirits. Have faith, don’t lose hope
in prayer”, he said then crossed himself and walked away from the alter.
As I close my eyes to sleep I don’t know what’s going to happen. The Luciferians are multiplying.
The world is changing. Is Christianity going to dominate forever? What will happen to religion
centuries to come? Will people still believe? We keep praying but we getting tired.
