- 6. SOLUTION APPROACH 1. Get a List of All Records being inserted/updated ( Trigger.New ). 2. Get Set of All Email from the new Records being inserted/updated. NewEmailSet. 3. Make a SOQL on Contact Object to get Existing Records based on the Email set that we have on step 2. 4. Iterate through the list that we got in Step 3 and then add the existing email in new Set ExistingEmailSet. 5. Iterate through the new record list ( From Step 1 ) and then Check if the Email is in ExistingEmailSet and throw error.
