Dubai Schools - Mirdif provides an American curriculum based on the New York State Education Department (NYSED). We provide a developmentally appropriate, American curriculum with a focus on building the student's natural curiosity and enthusiasm for learning, along with instruction that is progressive, engaging, and fun. 3. • A high school diploma program aligned with standards offers courses in
English Language Arts, Mathematics, UAE and US Social Studies,
Arabic Language, Islamic Education, Moral Education, Science, Social
Science, Business, Technology, Physical Education, and the Arts.
• Where possible, the school will use the published Engage NY curriculum
for English and Mathematics as a starting point for its curriculum in
those areas. These modules of study and accompanying materials are all
readily available on the NYSED website.
• Across all subject areas, the curriculum is designed to ensure that
students meet the requirements. It is imperative to provide students
with experiential learning opportunities both in the classroom and in the
wider community. This will enable them to make connections between
their knowledge and Emirati culture in the real world. As in the earlier
phases, the curriculum continues to be inclusive, adaptable, culturally
relevant, active, social, and integrated.
