Caerphilly Castle is located in south Wales near Cardiff. It is the largest castle in Wales and was built in the 13th century for defensive purposes. Though parts of the castle need restoration, it remains well preserved today. The Brecon Beacons National Park is a major landmark in southeast Wales, known for its mountains, valleys, waterfalls and rare plant life. The highest point is over 886 meters. Hiking is a popular tourist activity in the park. The ruins of St. David's Church date back to the 12th century and are located in southeast Wales.
