SmartCode is a blockchain-based application that tracks pharmaceuticals from manufacture to patient use to combat counterfeiting. It provides a low-cost solution using blockchain consensus to record drug provenance. SmartCode can be deployed quickly as a proof of concept and integrate with existing IoT, SAP and mobile technologies. It includes a reward-based tokenized system run directly with patients to incentivize the use of authentic drugs. The system transforms commercial and marketing approaches for pharmaceutical companies by facilitating 1:1 relationships with patients.
