Commercial vehicle registration in the UK has grown up by 12.8% in 2013. Vans and trucks have larger contributions to this growth as compared to buses and coaches. Also, the forthcoming launches of several new light commercial vans are expected to further boost growth in the sector.

Commercial vehicle registrations in the UK grew 12.8% in 2013 to 330,976 units. They were led by
an 14.7% increase in van and truck registrations.

Growth goes green..
The bus and coach sector saw a 3.3% YoY decline in registrations in 2013. However, there has been growth
over the last five months as operators are looking to invest in new fuel ecient and cleaner vehicles. The
introduction of new Euro 6 trucks in 2014 would be of key interest to the heavy end of the market; the
forthcoming launches of several new light commercial vans is expected to boost growth in the sector.
